The Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) issued a statement confirming that the current state of the Mosta ficus trees is due to an act of vandalism. Numerous ficus trees in Mosta square have developed sizeable cavities in their trunks, with an unidentified liquid being poured into the holes.These happen to be the very same ficus trees that were nearly removed in November, prior to the local council’s U-turn.

Lovely video Steve. Love Malta and the people,so kind and friendly. Yes you must go and have a Breckie and put it on for us all to see. I hope the trees survive. stupid things some councils will do to think they are making a better place. Sheffield council got a hammering from the public when they were cutting down old trees, people were tying themselves to them to stop the council from chopping them down, thank god as it worked. Look forward to your next one.

Hi Steve, the size of those trees will take a bit of time to die from that possible liquid killer that someone has used. Maybe a month or so you will see them start to die. Such a shame why they couldn't just cut them back to about 8 feet and let them carrying on growing. Loved the walk around the streets of Mosta Steve, many thanks, and don't walk under those cranes.

Great video Steve, nice to see what's been happening in the area, but not good about the fiscus trees, what really happened with them? Were they poisoned? A shame if they were, we need more trees not less. Never been round the back of the Mosta Dome, interesting place, will have a look next time I'm over.

Premier is the only place that I'd buy Pastizzi if I am in Mosta, they are that good! The only way that I'd eat Maxims from Mosta, is if someone else paid. I have only tried Premier's pastizzi though. The best banks in Malta for ATM transactions are the following 4, I did a lot of research on it, I like to visit my family in Malta prepared, although any bank should be better than the non bank ATMS (ATM vending machines, as I like to call them) 01) Lombard Banks 02) BOV banks 03) APS Banks 04) HSBC Banks When I was a child, I went underneath the Mosta church with family, yet I don't remember anything about how it's done, and the rules might have changed since then anyway. I think that the best thing to do would be to ask the priest of the church.

Good call! there takeaway food really good !! I talked about ATMs in many videos
