In today's video we're going to be taking a look into the former coastside town known as Purissima. Most people would drive by the area and have absolutely no clue a once thriving town existed. Join us as we tour the townsite and review it's interesting story.

For all the years I've ridden in costal/rural San Mateo County, I had no idea. Thank you for this fascinating look at Purissima

Yeah, I went to the cemetery about 30 years ago after reading about it in a San Mateo County history book. It was overgrown back then with Poison Oak. Also, I knew about the Oil production from the Purisima canyon from a book about the Ocean Shore railroad. It had a picture of Oil barrels on train cars. I was a San Mateo County history buff. Checked out all the books from the library.
