Something that helped to sell this prank was that Hyungwon was a lot more serious pre-debut--which I know is the opposite of his meme image in Monsta X--and even Gun wasn't sure how much of Hyungwon's improv here was an act. He's definitely a good actor (which is why lie detectors don't work on him), but this actually is pretty close to how he is when he gets mad for real, according to MX. They've said several times that out of all the members, Hyungwon is one of the most patient but the scariest when truly angry. You can see it in interviews and programs where the members push him too far, and he gets into that grim quiet mood, and then they scramble to fix it so they don't face his wrath when they get home lol. And honestly, if he did an act like this again where he gets aggressive and physical, it would be even more believable now that he's muscular.
