Russia was considered second strongest military in the world. They thought they would take ukraine in 3 days. 2 years and still not winning. Their soldiers are selling tank fuel for alcohol to get drunk, leaving tanks in ditches, not knowing how to cross rivers. It lost naval superiority to a country with no navy. Lost over 500k casualties, 5000 tanks against a small country. If this is any sign, do not assume China is strong, only on paper. China's military today also doesn't have any combat experience, having fought no wars.

In 1962 we lost Indo-china war because of multiple reasons:- 1- Chinese troops were well prepared because they were the once who initiated the war so they were planning for this war. 2- Indian army was not at all prepared, still our soldiers faught bravery. 3- Chinese army have edge over weapons and technology, where our indian soldiers were fighting with baba adam kae zamane ki guns.. 4- Our indian airforce was much superior still our then PM Nehru and Defence minister didn’t use it at the time of war. If we could have used our airforce the outcome would have come in our favour we could have easily won that war because chinese airforce at that time was weak and Chinese don’t have airforce bases around the tibet or indo-china border..

I'm not being a hater or anything but in truth China has by far the largest GDP in term of PPP and they come in second in term of nominal GDP, in military they have almost 4 time the budget of that of India, China's economic and military power are undeniable. While there may be internal challenges, and they may lack just a bit of experience in the battlefield it still is definitely not a " very weak" country, even the big guy uncle sam still considered them as a threat you can't underestimate them that much.
