This took a lot of work.
All stories and claims in this video regarding Tomazacre (Tomas) are purely allegations.

I don’t have too much to say other than, This is 100% what we needed, an outside professional perspective of the situation with no bias and clearly outlying all of the information presented. I’ve wanted to make a video like this or see someone do something like this.. but i cannot find the words to do it, i also don’t have editing skills, I don’t think anybody could’ve laid this out as well as you did. like you briefly mentioned it’s really tough to speak on this when you’re a part of the beatboxing machine. There’s nothing in this video I didn’t know already, the way you put everything into a clear message helps immensely bro. I just gotta say, thank you, thank you, thank you.

One of the dumbest things i've heard people say is that you cannot speak up about something if you are not in the community it occurs in. It is exactly the people outside of a community that need to speak up since there will be the least amount of bias involved.

Thank you all for your comments so far - even the ones that don’t like this video. In the few hours since posting this I have had multiple people reach out to me with 2 more allegations from women in Chile that are not posted on the internet because the alleged victims are too afraid to share their stories publicly. I have also been shown another correspondence between someone and Chezame where they tried to warn him about the situation and make sure he knows about the “allegations from Chile”, but he flat-out disregarded them. I would like to address a couple things. 1: You are right - Tomaz isn’t the *biggest* competitor in BBU. He is “one of the biggest”. I definitely meant to say that but.. oops. It’s beside the point. I wish some of you knew what it was like to do well enough on KZfaq to get infected with “the bug”. Every video you make you look at as an opportunity to make money. It is no secret that everyone loves controversy and flocks to it. That’s human nature. It’s also no secret that Tomaz *always* brings in the views… whether it’s because of his talent or the controversy surrounding his name - he is a guaranteed source of revenue on a review/react channel. 2: I can’t believe I have to say this (again), but in no way is this video trying to paint Tomas as guilty of anything. The point of this video is merely to make you aware of the existence of the allegations in response to clear attempts of multiple groups trying to keep you from seeing them. 3: It is no secret that the majority of sexual assaults don’t get reported, and a very, very small number ever get taken to court… an even smaller number win in court. That is why risk assessment is incredibly important. If there was only 1 allegation from one person, I wouldn’t even have considered making this video. 7 + is a *very* different story - don’t pretend like it’s not. A large number of allegations does not in any way mean Tomas is guilty of any of them, but it does mean the community should take a more serious approach at evaluating the situation as the risk is increased. 4: I really wish I could share the names of people I interviewed, because I know how much more impactful and legit that makes them… but they all wished to be anonymous which I entirely understood and respected. Although, I will say atleast 4 of the quotes were from people who were on the GBB2021 stage. There were actually some quotes I left out because I felt they were a little too vulgar and I didn’t feel comfortable including them in my video. Lastly: I am barely making any money off this video, so if you think I did this for clout you are sorely mistaken. Because of the topics discussed in this video, I had to classify it as “only safe for some ads” which greatly reduces revenue. Which is fine - I’m not doing this for money. Anyways, I appreciate the discussion in this comment section. I will not be deleting any comments as that would be very hypocritical. Keep it productive please. Thank you 🖤

Personally, I'm really excited about the new format that is the bbu. I've been sick of swiss being the only platform beatboxers have and was happy when they announced the competition. But when I was notified tomas was going to part, I had a constant fight with myself about participating in it. On one hand, there's my personal brand and career at stake because this competition is really huge and would get my name out there. That's something I've been wanting to happen for years. On the other hand, there's a guy who is currently in court for a rape alligation. I just was not satisfied with the info I got from the organizers (could be my fault for not trying hard enough to clarify the situation with them) and I still am having a hard time with the whole thing. In the end I chose to stay. I really like the format of the competition and it gave me a chance to promote my name. I just wish for this entire thing to resolve without interference from people who have something to gain from this mess. I don't think I have enough info about the situation to comment on it, but I hope my perspective could explain how me and the other competitors feel. We don't condone rape, sexual harassment or anything of the sort, but there's also our careers on the line. Hope you all are doing well, much love to all of you (:

This is exactly why this video was hard to make. Their BBU tournament is a fantastic idea - I actually promoted it on my Instagram a few weeks ago because I was excited about it. “Maybe I should have tried harder to find more information..” That’s kinda the issue - you shouldn’t have to try at all to hear about problems in the community. The information should be at your fingertips - it shouldn’t require detective work to see all of it. I want to see the BBU tournament do well honestly, but at the same time I can’t sit quiet and say nothing about the negligence at hand. Thanks for your words, and best of luck in the future!

The organization of the Beatbox Argentina events just wanted to inform you that tomazacre was never in our country and was never in any of our events.” **** I have received dozens of new messages over the past couple days from people that either have known Tomas or have competed with him. I have also been in direct contact with Tomas & Chezame - we are civil. With all these new conversations in mind, I actually feel even more certain about this situation now. Although I do have to say… I was wrong about thinking Chezame & Sxin are “doing this for money”. It is very clear now that they have fallen victim to Tomas’ manipulation, and they honestly believe this is a giant conspiracy and everything else he is telling them. Because of what I’ve learned over the past few days, I might actually have to make another video about this. I don’t want to tbh lol.. but the picture is even more clear to me now. I presented the majority of this new information to Chezame last night, but it seems he has his mind set.

Or Chezame&Sxin saying "We know the truth now, we just can't show it" That's why everything was (and probably still is) so unclear for everyone... I side with you on almost every point, except on one: Chezame and Sxin don't need Tomas, because the BBU would probably be a success regardless. I believe that in the contrary, they risk damaging their image by allowing him to compete. I think they are maybe just a bit naive and don't (want to) believe that a good friend of theirs turned out to be a molester (allegedly). They rather want to stay loyal to him and maybe even pity him. After watching them for a couple of years I personally believe this to be the reason, but feel free to discuss this controversial topic with me. ESH

I agree with you. I think BBU would have been a success regardless, and I don’t blame anyone for joining it, because they all desperately need that money. I refuse to watch Tomas’s vids, though, because I think they present a bad example for young people. And I thought many people were boycotting him. But when I saw the enormous numbers of views on his BBU vid, I was shocked. People love this guy! This whole situation feels like it created an under-dog image for him. 🤯. He is helping to pay all the beatboxers in the competition while allegedly being a horrible person, too. It reminds me of the ‘He rapes but he saves’ joke that Dave Chapelle tells, though the good he brings is marginal, unlike in the joke. I really don’t know what is the right thing to do as a beatbox fan.

"I think they are maybe just a bit naive" - I dispute this for one reason, they actively tried to exonerate him with "secret info" that they "couldn't share" in their video talking about him, wilfully ignoring that he is already banned in Chile for sexually abusing an underage girl and allegedly also committing rape in Argentina. So this is a person who is accused of rape, in 3 Countries on 2 Continents. If someone got accused once, I would say give them the benefit of the doubt, but 3 cases in three different countries? I am highly sceptical that he could be innocent.

Nope bro, I don't wanna be rude, but the only naive thing here is your thoughts about Chezame and Sxin being naive. It is good that such things are clear. I do not understand why any information should be left out (any information that can be told without breaking any rules of the court of course). We are a family, and we should be treated as one. Things happened, they can't just say it is false. Thruth and trust is wat we need, and people like Chezame and Sxin make it harder for us to know what is true and what isn't. So thank you for clearing things up, I needed it and I think a lot of beatboxers needed it.

As someone who's life was ruined for years and was on the edge of ending my life due to false allegations. It took years until the truth came out but by that time the damage was done. I lived in a small town and couldn't go anywhere without being attacked either physically or mentally. Even know I've been shown innocent, I've never been the same. I'm scared to ever be in a relationship and mentally I'm still not well and it's been years. So I always hold innocent until proven guilty for that reason. I always reserve my judgement until it's all over. One thing I can say though concerning this situation is event organizers for GBB if they were going to allow him in knowing what they did should have kept a chaperone with him at all times for the protection of all parties present. It's pretty easy to say to ban someone and end their career until you stand on the other end of the knife, then it makes you more cautious. I've developed a fear of not only relationships with a significant other but with friends too because of everyone throwing me aside believing accusations. I won't say Tom is innocent or guilty, I can say from what you put together it shines a poor light upon him, yet due to living through what I have I will never bring the axe down on someone's head. Edit: I say this not to exonerate Tom but to show what the mentality of guilty until proven innocent can do. I am not for or against anyone, your judgment could come out to be correct this time but what happens when that same mentality of guilty until proven innocent places an innocent man's head on the chopping block? and what if it's your head next time?

Something that you and unfortunately a lot others don't understand is that there is a difference between "banning and ending ones carreer" and "exclude a potential danger until we have more clarity". None of the enteties involved in this wanted to cancel Tomaz. But after multiple (and we're talking about many) alligations you have to go with the safer way. And the safer way is without any second opinion the way that is protecting the potential victims in all of that. Obviously, this is bad for Tomaz, iff he is innocent, but this is not canceling or ending his career. Sxin and Chezame said, that people don't give him a chance to speak up and well, that's not true. He has a lot of followers. People will listen to him, if he would speak up. That being said, David said at the end of this video something really important: If there is only one alligation by maybe an upset ex-partner, then it's one thing. The story looks completely different, if there are 7 public alligations and even a f-ing lawsuit because of an r-case. I hope you see, why this is a huge potential danger, that needs to be taken care of. Obviously, your story is pretty bad and I'm sorry, that you had to go through all of this, but I know women, who had to experience, what Tomaz is accused of. The fall height for women being around such an potential danger is higher than for Tomaz, even if you don't wanna hear this. Tomaz does not suffer, if they just exclude him from tournaments etc. until there is more clarity. But some women will feel at least uncomfortable around him and they do for a reason. PS: Don't say, that you think, someone is innocent until proven wrong, but a few sentenses later you say, that you won't say Tom is innocent or guilty. Those 2 statements just don't fit well together✌🏻

This whole situation has caused me to distance myself from the community for multiple months now. I was very unhappy with how the biggest figures in the community (Swissbeatbox, Chezame & Sxin, etc) were leading the community in terms of the whole situation happening. It took me a while to realise but neither side is handling the situation correctly at all. This is something we need to take into account and talk about. Not sweep it under the rug, but not spark the flames either in order to promote. This is a problem we can figure out together. We just need the right people leading us, and the information given to us, so we can make our own judgement. P.S. To be honest, Chezame and Sxin have honestly been slowly driving me away from the community ever since they won a gbb wildcard. I really felt for a long time that my opinions on the scene and certain beatboxers were invalid as often fans of Chezame and Sxin would just follow along like a hive mind, sucking off their views and opinions, failing to make their own views because Chezame and Sxin are "professional". It made me feel upset and unwanted in the community, as I didn't agree with them a lot of the time. Then the Tomaz situation rolled around and that video of their reaction to his wildcard (plus the fact that beatbox united is inherently unfair) really stuck it to me that this was a community i didn't belong in anymore, at least not for the time being. I still love beatbox. I beatbox every hour of every day because i love doing it. I just wish people could share their art without having to deal with this.

Thank you for that video David. It really gives an objective sight on the whole thing. I totally agree with the "maybe 1 crazy girl could make up a story" But 7 allegations from different girls and tomazacre exposing himself in the screenshots as pretty crazy, creepy and narcisstic, makes me feel really uncomfortable. And even tho these are still "only" allegations, the organizers of big events should definetly go the way of caution instead of indulgeance.

Thank you for taking the time to put this video together. The recent events in the beatbox community have disgusted and disappointed me, and the response from some of the community leaders even more-so. We need to expose all the bad actors that have allowed things to get this way, and set a clear example that these are NOT the people who represent the beatbox community. Imagine a lesser known beatboxer being accused of r*pe, sexual assault, etc. Would there be so much controversy over them being banned from events? Probably not. Are we going to allow these sickos to do what they please just because they're 'famous'? Is that the kind of example we should set in the beatbox community?? No amount of power/money/fame should give someone a pass to make this space unsafe for others. I hope this community does the right thing and band together against those who have been ignoring these issues for so long.

Thanks for putting in all the work to do this. Seeing sxin and chezame allow him to compete confused me, but mostly broke my heart. I went into a depression. Those two introduced me to bbx, helped me live through the pandemic with entertainment and a new way to express myself musically. Their initial video (reading off a computer screen) had me feeling sus, and then this happened. Sadly it’s all about money. Seeing the comments on his wc video made me feel even worse. With all the “innocent until proven guilty” stuff, I was desperate to start conversation about this. I went to discord channels to try and educate folx about this whole situation much like you did. Yet everything in bbx discords is centered around the art. There is no general chat. Innocent until proven guilty only functions properly in a just system that treats everyone equally, a system in which everyone has access to use it. The fact that the community was saying a few months ago that we need to start having convos about this, yet not actually having a proper place to do it, broke me further. Again, thanks for posting.

I'm at a similar intersection of the beatboxing community, coming from the bass singing/a cappella world. The negligence within the beatbox community (or any other, for that matter) doesn't start or end with Tomas, and the plights of women, queer people, POC, and many other marginalized groups have routinely been ignored by those with the most influence in the community. Conversations and transparency like in this video are crucial for all of us to not only arrive at the truth in this case, but to learn and grow individually to do what it takes to protect the community as a whole. I appreciate you taking the time to share all of this and do your due diligence in research and community outreach.

Saw this comment on r/beatbox which shared this video and summarized my thoughts on this too: The most damning thing presented in this vid (David did an amazing job researching this 👌) are the translated allegations put forward one after the other. Obviously, yes, these are allegations but when considered together (7, wow) along with the quotes from other people who interacted with him personally, it paints a terrible picture. Even if there existed one or two things that are not completely accurate, it’s a very convincing case against Tomaz, absolutely, as well as a sobering message aimed toward S&C and SBX who probably (according to this video) did not take as much accountability as they should have when dealing with Tomaz to the extent and manner that they did. I genuinely enjoy the BBU22 tournament and the new precedent it encourages with regards to online battles. But this is something that should be addressed by them. They basically said in the reaction to Tomaz’s bbu22 wildcard ‘trust us, we know more info and it clearly vindicates him’. But David just said ‘no, the info does not say that, plus there’s stuff that you didn’t address that makes Tomaz look terrible, plus you’re basically being dishonest with your audience and pushing an ulterior motive’. I can’t imagine this will be ignored - it’s not just ramblings filled with baseless comments but instead an honest journalistic endeavour that is well researched and substantiated (well, as much as it can be). In my opinion, not fully acknowledging this video will work against S&C and SBX. We’ll see how this plays out I guess.

but tomaz is technically innocent until a proven guilty so why should he lose his career over very easily faked allegations? id also love to know why one of the girls said he raped her and then changed her mind and said no he didnt but he almost did.
@georgejerry1545
@georgejerry1545 2 жыл бұрын
@@Shreddology True. Innocent until proven guilty applies generally to the legal system but that doesn’t mean it determines society’s opinion(s) of the accused (just because an accused is held innocent does not mean society will welcome that person as if he wasn’t charged in the first place). Plus, the culpability imputed by allegations is limited and possibly amounts to nothing if they are ill founded. That could be the case of one or two instances of people touting themselves as victims when they really aren’t. However, when you have multiple allegations (not 2 or 3 but 7!) against someone from separate, independent parties, as well as multiple others that comment disparagingly of that person’s conduct, it’s a strong indication of the kind of person they are. The point David was trying to make was one of transparency. He has unearthed and investigated all this evidence that points to Tomaz not being the best person and parties like SBX and C&S have not taken the right steps disclosing and/or applying this information with respect to the decisions they made associated with him. - SBX let Tomaz compete in GBB despite his priors and blacklisted him only after people like Vocodah complained about him - C&S let Tomaz compete afterwards in their competition (BBU22) using incomplete information that they framed to vindicate Tomaz but in actuality did not. Again, this whole thing is about transparency, honesty and communication that David argues there’s a lack of from these parties (C&S, SBX). I was honestly neutral towards this controversy before because of the lack of info available but after David’s video ^, I believe C&S at least should address this since it does seem like they lied to their audience and is causing division/problems in the beatbox community promoting somebody with a clean slate that he doesn’t deserve.

It's literally why most people don't come forward when stuff like this happens. I believe David also updated his comment to say another 2 people have come forward about Tomas since this video, which would make it (I think) 9 allegations.

It seems in cases like this change and accountability can only truly start to take place when someone outside the glass house as you put it, starts throwing stones in to wake people up to how absurd the situation is. It's not about guilt or innocence at the core of it, it's about taking the seriousness of these accusations at face value and taking the proper steps to comfort and protect the fans and participants of these events against potentially harmful people. If someone is a decent person and knows that the things being said about them are false, they should be gracefully standing down and sitting out until the situation is cleared up. It's also important to understand though that just because someone is cleared, it doesn't mean people will instantly feel better about interacting with them or being around them. Bouncing back from even a single accusation like this can take a lot of time. That's just part of how image and reputation works in social communities.

Why the hell does it take someone who is barely in the beatbox community to tell us this. Like wth, i love the bbx community but have been incredibly disappointed recently. I strongly believe in innocent-until-proven-guilty. And had very little info about this scenario, ive only been here a few years and have no connections in the community other than being subbed to a ton of beatboxers. But i was simply waiting and waiting and waiting until a more full info dump was released. And while this video cant cover everything obviously, I extremely appreciate your hard work digging into this and im glad somebody finally stepped up. Im still sad it had to be you, but im glad its out now either way. Im so incredibly sad atm, but still, now i know. And while I at first agreed with C&S for standing up for there "morals", by using the innocent until proven guilty method. But now im disappointed, and questioning my support of the BBU. Its the coolest event in beatbox at the moment, and i was super excited. But i have the feeling that no matter what Tomaz may not get past the first round of the battle either way, due to all this. Because just with how things are looking Jordox will get a free point off of user voting, and I think he'll win at least 3 other points(video, audio, enjoyment of listening). Tomaz's beatboxing would have to be the best ever for him to win against Jordox's ear-wormy style with all the hate coming his way. But idk, maybe he pulls it off, i hope not tho. Im also now wondering if in your digging you heard anything about Bizkit, many rumors have gone around him recently and he was my favorite looper coming into gbb 2021. However many have said his rounds may not get released. However his tag-team elim was released at the request of his partner Pono, but Pono said he is no longer going to participate in that tag-team with Bizkit due to said issues. Idk, as i said i dont have connections and have no clue where to look for info on this.

@@idontevenknowbro as of right now, bizkit's allegations are being kept under wraps by request. however, I believe that Swiss will be releasing a statement explaining the situation when the loop elims come out.

@@milzmusician Sadly your probably right, im hoping that Jordox takes it tho, both to knock out T and ive really enjoyed his works so far and in the past. Either way, itll be a short time before we know so i guess we wait and see.

@@waferboi thats unfortunate, i understand wanting to keep things under wraps if all the info hasnt been gathered. And we still have to wait a month probably before we even get to those elims with this "every other day" upload schedule.

thank you for this video! the way that C&S are handling this situation is absolutely disgusting, and as someone who’s worked with them in the past this was extremely heartbreaking to see. so thank you for doing all of this research, i had attempted some myself but this is very helpful, so thanks again 🙏

You're doing the right things that we all should have done months ago. Do not feel bad for killing the scene to the recent contest, it should be just fine for the audiences to realize what's happened before they're getting too into it. Thanks for sharing these details that I missed before.There are lots to improve on the scene, I wish we can achieve this together no matter as a CEO in charge of everything, or as a professional contestant, or just as a mere participant which just chilling under the stage. There's darkness before the dawn, may the conscience be the sun shining through everyone's mind. To keep us safe from the harm.

I went to GBB 21 as a new member of the bbx community. I came to love it on KZfaq throughout the pandemic and was pumped to travel across the world as we were finally opening up post pandemic. Oblivious to any allegations Tomaz was one of the few pro best boxers I had multiple interactions with all positive. (I am a 6 foot 3 male no threat of assault) it’s heartbreaking to hear the allegations against someone I enjoyed personally. Even more heartbreaking organizers looked the other way. Thanks for producing content to make the neophytes like me more well informed!

I'm mostly in your channel about Low Pitch tones and maybe some beatboxing reactions but I'm not that much into beatboxing ... that being said I started watching this vid thinking it was about maybe fake beatboxers or some bad vocal techniques ... then I saw what it was about and that it was 41min long .. I said .. I'm not gonna watch the whole thing... 41 min later I can say this def caught me for 2 reasons .. first of all the analysis is very good, very well done and very objective, and 2nd the translations are pretty much on point, did you had help on the matter or was it all just google / internet resources? .. I'm a native spanish speaker which made this a bit more appealing to me as well. Great vid I don't remember if I have commented on any of your other vids but thanks for the great content David!

Thank you so much for making this video. I'm the older sister of the girl that is in the court case with Tomas and you have no idea how hard it has been for her to see how people still believe everything he says and see people defending him because the case was "dropped". I can update you in the case if you want to, since Tomaz (apparently) has been saying he is winning the case

Its actually a logically flawed statement. People who lack stake almost never have bias. People who have a stake tend to be the ones with bias.

Thankyou for making this video. And the major take away I get is that us guys generally don't have a stake in these things. And need to think for ourselves more , think critically and be smarter. And really think more about the girls and other potentially vulnerable friends we have and work to keep them safer. Call out the toxic attitudes of people , and hold everyone to a higher standard .

I was in the middle of replying to a couple of the more naive comments I read here with a freight train of logic as I was listening to you. And as I was finishing, the last segment of your video began and couldn’t have been more identical to everything I had in closing. I was kind of mad cause it took me a hot minute to thoughtfully write out, but was also so satisfied as I scrolled back up and it was like you were a voice over reading my message out loud. David needs a fucking raise.

As someone new to the beatbox scene, I have enjoyed watching the new content that has surfaced from BBU. What is not new to me, is the topic of sexual assault. I am heartbroken after watching this. You could not be more right, David. There is too much evidence that points to this man being a monster. It should not be ignored. I appreciate you shedding light on this. Without the courage you have, these monsters will continue to go unpunished for their actions.
