Күн бұрынExpressLRS diversity receiver l EP1 dual is an interesting take on the ExpressLRS protocol. As a diversity receiver it is almost guaranteed that you get good RC link with an ease of mind.
I fixed up the EP1 dual onto my 4" quadcopter and tested the link on ELRS V3.0 and I must say it puts me at ease. Did a little range test and clocked 836m easy with a strong link.

This is pretty good so far. I use this for my 4” quad. Havent really tested it for a real long range yet tho. But it should work quite well! Either this or the radiomaster one!

This true diversity. It receives the packets from both antenna at the same time. There are two Rx chipsets they can hop different channels simultaneously.This not to be confused with Matek, or any other "diversity" Rx.

Is there any update needed on the TX if we already use another RX ELRS module in the same version ?

Yes!! The EP1 dual antenna usese V3.0 so your TX needs to be V3.0 and above

What is the video system do you use? Analog? 800 meters.. I even do not know is it a good result or not… Of course, there are a lot of trees and low height buildings.. but nevertheless it is only 800 meters..

Oh! This video was done with the CADDX/DJI VISTA. It can go further. I just dont wanna risk losing the quad and walking the distance!! Haha

hi man, how many power do you use it? and refresh rate? 50hz?

I run 5v on this and refresh rate is maximum at 500hz. I dont usually fly far so i stick to this range for around 1km or less. Hope that answers ur question?

I’m so getting this to replace CRSF. Been having no luck recently with failsafe and have a true diversity (dual chips) instead of switching between the two antennas, probably I’ll be luckier

Yeah, so Ive had a couple of failsafes myself on CRSF and my one gripe is the price.

I had some early signal loss for some reason I could never figure out with ELRS on my 5" drones and went back to crossfire, but have ELRS on everything else. It has been really dependable for some time now for me on the rest of my quads, so I'll probably put these receivers on my last 3 and sell my crossfire stuff.

@@shogunemperor Definitely not connection, and not true failsafes. I have gps rth on my 5" quads, but they would just drop from the sky and it happened multiple times on two different quads. It was on EP1 rxs. That was almost a year, and quite a few versions ago.

500Hz @ 250mw thats basically it. I didnt mess with the configurations.

Questions. If the receiver has to match the transmitter... Does that mean your radio has to also have a elrs diversity module? Same goes for elrs tcxo?

Just the standard ELRS transmitter on your radio will do bruddah. Im using the Happymodel ELRS pro TX on my QX7.

Oh! Were u originally on an older setting? If yes, update to 2.5.1 then to 3.0

@@shogunemperoryou should give it a try I noticed less Dead spots when Flying my Hawk Pro 5” from the ELRS, RSSI Loss especially when the quad is returning an facing you!

ooooh! This is the DJI Vista Nebula pro. Yeah, its got one of the better quality picture. Kinda my favourite at the moment.

I'm not sure what the advantage of diversity is. Maybe having two antennas placed for better reception ? Your flying Spot made me jelous. Looks beautiful. Love your Video cuting too. Youre a natural. Have you tried the new HQ 3.5x2.2 bi blade on this or the crux35 ?

Thanks for dropping by bruh!!! Well, the diversity antenna allows it to swap to the stronger signal so that in itself allows the strongest RC link it can get without failsafe. Aaww thanks man, yeah... Singapore has its pros and cons... nice as it is, it gets boring as its one of the only few fly spots around here. No bando's nor cliffs, hills or mountains. The hills are no fly zones as its part of the National Parks. ooooh... not yet!!! Will go check them out. Thanks for the heads up bruh!!

OH sorry bruh!! Its cause I did a few videos with the binding process so I skipped that part as everyone's already on ELRS for awhile now. The binding process is the same as any other. Once you flash the latest firmware on the receiver with your bind phrase, it will auto bind from your radio to the receiver the moment you power them both up.

I am interested in whether or not this is much of an improvement over the diversity receivers like the Matek Elrs d with two Ufl antennas, also I wonder if we should wait to purchase this kind of receiver until the price is driven down by multiple companies producing them, to be honest I have just as good luck with my ep1 Ufl single antenna as I do with the Matek Elrs d for essentially all my flying

Truth be told... I always follow this saying..."if it aint broken.. dont fix it..." LOL but yeah, the matek ELRS D, I have heard good reviews on it. If it works for u, dont change it. For me, its a necessity for when i do coastal flights. So this ones essential for me.

@@shogunemperor I was flying on the west coast of the United States with my Mobula 7, and that one is just the spi ceramic antenna of course, I can only imagine the distance that I could achieve on one of my baby mod 3.5s with diversity or true diversity, I do love how confidence inspiring a good radio link feels when you’re way out

No bro, this is a 2.4Ghz protocol. It has different hardware from 915hz
