I hope the extended infusion set will end up with a longer tubing option for the 6mm cannula version. I use the quickset 43" currently.

I wear the "Extended" Infusion set, but the tubing is "shorter"" than the other infusion set up! I like that the Extended can be worn for a week, but the shorter tubing drives me crazy!!!

Hi, Rozann! Do you mind sharing what tubing you are currently using? We do offer 32” tubing with a 9mm cannula, if you aren't already using those. If you are already using those, please know that we will continue to add more configurations of the product as they become available and we will let our customers know when we expand.

My tubing is 23", 60cm and 6mm. I am a long-waisted girl, so the tubing is constantly being pulled.

Thank you for the additional info! You might want to consider trying the 32" tubing to see if that works better for you. If that is something you'd like to add to your next order, please give our team a call at 1-800-646-4633, option #3. Thanks!

Just started using the extended infusion sets. On the 780g is there a way to change the set change alarm to 7 days. It only gives the option of 2 or 3 days

Yep, Medtronic just told me that it's not possible to set the 780G beyond 3 days. I made sure to ask if it's just me or a regional issue. I was told that it shouldn't be possible anywhere.

I've been T1 for 43 years, on the pump for nearly 30 of them. I've just started with the extended infusion, I started out wonderfully, but my last session was fine for about 3-3 1/2 days then I proceeded into the 200s and 300's I ended up giving injections for the past 3 days, before finally ending that initial infusion. I'm on Medicare, so I'm really limited on the amount of supplies I can get. I've decided to change infusions every 3 1/2 days, now I'm thinking that it will be difficult for me to acquire the extra infusion reservoirs. Why can nothing be simple these days.

I understand your answer to the “standard reservoir” versus the “extended reservoir” and you stated they look exactly the same but only the extended reservoir has FDA approval for 7 day use. I have a lot of standard reservoirs and just started on the new 7 day infusion sets. Will the insulin remain stable with the standard reservoir for 7 plus days? Or can you only answer per FDA approval- which means I’m on my own to do what I think works for me??

Hi, Chuck, a 3-day reservoir (standard reservoir) cannot be used for more than 3 days. The effectiveness of insulin after 3 days in standard reservoir has not been evaluated. Standard reservoirs should only be used for the indicated 3 days.

Hello, I use the original reservoir (3 day) due to it's THE SAME! They BOTH say 3.0ml. There is no difference and as expensive as this is...I have used both and there is noooo difference! Now the insurance may be billed differently so please make sure as far as that is concerned. But trust the work the same! And it's amazing how neither of these ladies have the reservoir on hand to show....😒

I just have a feeling that these first two answers are just pure bullshit. Can you prove what you said in the first 4 minutes of the video with a clinical study and research studies that you have mentioned? You should have all the publications i mean after all it is YOUR research group.

I'm not sure what specifically you're calling bullshit, but the fact that diabetic lipo-hypertrophy is caused by the insulin itself has been well established for decades, before insulin pumps even existed. However, I'm not sure I buy the preservative explanation. I have a spot of it that developed from over-use of injections, before I had a pump. The preservatives can't have had any influence on that. She also didn't talk about the difference between short-term inflammatory response and hypertrophy. The former is much more common, and it goes away relatively quickly. The latter never really goes away, barring surgical intervention. I've had the same affected spot for over 20 years.
