@@holeindanssock156 it doesn't seem like a cash grab at all. It's Miller's passion project and if he wanted to play things safe he wouldn't have done a prequel story that doesn't even involve Mad Max. It took 9 years to make this work, there's too much effort involved all around. Cash grabs are low effort and take low risks. Miller is taking too many high risks with this one and it's unlikely to pay off. Plus Fury Road didn't do particularly great at the box office in spite of the obscenely high quality the movie was, though it got tons of 2nd wind with Blu-Ray sales and all that, but this movie's going to suffer from being a prequel, post-Covid box office and less potential ancillary profits from physical media and streaming.

Mad Max is the franchise, Furiosa is part of that franchise. Why does naming the movie FURIOSA: A MAD MAX SAGA not make sense?

When Fury Road came out there was a slew of press & promo material that had some unfinished shots, for example stunt equipment being left unedited out. Was that in the final cut? Not at all. George Miller also stated that Furiosa’s editing was just finished like two weeks ago, so we know the footage we’re seeing here isn’t 100% finished. But it still looks perfectly fine to me.

@@ultraviolet540 Saw the movie a couple of hours ago and some CGI is visible, but it’s not distracting and personally I’d rather have CGI here and there than have stuntmen die in crazy stunts. The movie’s a slap in the face of modern Hollywood, just as much as Fury Road was in 2015.

just saw it and there was a few seconds of noticable cgi that was slighty disracting but the movie was so amazing and grand it outshined those minor flaws.

Lachy Hulme was adamant about honoring Hugh Keays-Byrne’s legacy, I trust his judgement. Also keep in mind that he’s way younger here. Like 20+ years difference between Fury Road.

Forty years ago, if there were social media yet also trolling and flaming because these kind of people don't have a life and if someone touch their old good movies, trying to make new ones, soon starts the grudge even if follow up are made by original authors. George Lucas had never so much hate because he made new movies, Disney sucks because is Disney and so on. With the right of mutual opinion, just please go and see the movie first. Then talk.

And we've all watched pretty much every franchise get infested with current day politics and ruined so people are wary about that and there's a lot of signs of diminished quality here. They don't want to waste their money. Why does it upset you guys that people aren't just mindlessly cheerleading for it? Criticism isn't a bad thing. Bad movies are the bad thing here

lol, we always laughed on set that mad max and road warrior didnt really have a plot either! yes, i welded most of the spikes onto the VW dune buggy. idea taken from "the cars that ate paris"... another one of those random cult classic aussie movies that no-one has heard of... and trust me... what we expected as the crew, was entirely different to what we finally saw on-screen. another franchise ruined by yet another unwanted and unnecessary sequel...

Well said and thank you for not cowing to today's LAMF social standards. I was a child when Miller & Kennedy released Mad Max I and II. And those were exciting and frightening times. Not only did the first two movies scare the bedickens out of me, they taught me valuable life lessons. Mad Max I and II taught me, and others, how to overcome adversity and face our antagonists head on. However, these last two Maxploitation films have taught, at least taught me that if you own something, you truly can destroy it. Mad Max (RIP) 😫☠️😫☠️😫
