Highly underrated band not talked about enough in hardcore. Every albums is so tight.

Absolutely brutal band! I was looking into the history of metal genres and I came across PowerViolence. These guys were in the top ten, I think. I'm so glad I chose to listen to them. It got me into some other hardcore punk like Ceremony's old stuff. They are amazing, fast-paced, and creative. I hope they realize how much we enjoy listening to their adrenaline-pumping songs. great band - make sure you check out any local PV bands as this music is definitely best experienced live.

The 'polished' comment is interesting. I think that plenty of the bands earlier recordings have a similar vibe. I wouldn't say that the new record is any more polished than the Control EP or Sick LP. And then some of their stuff is super rough... to me that's one of the cool things about the band, and always has been.

I also appreciate the production variety across their discography from Terminal Cancer crunch through to this release it all sounds sick. I'm pretty out of touch with hardcore punk terminology and I think this question exposed that. I didnt mean any negative connotation which seems like it may carry but I do think theres a distinctly wider stereo field and more top end detail in both the vocals and cymbals. Either way I liked Jays response putting me in my place haha.
