These cases are fascinating. And they remind me of a company that makes cases like these today for people's NES, SNES and MG/Genesis games that don't have cases. I wish I could remember the company. But when you order the case, you can tell them the game, and they will make a case label similar to what you have there.

Dang, that was many moons ago. US NES rental cartridges had their own plastic clamshell. They were square-ish, usually only marginally larger than the cartridge itself.

Nice collection man! Where are you located? Been collecting these for a while now in Sweden, the nostalgia is real! The black covers were for the earlier games and had no glued in manual. They also came with the regular manual or the blue A4 manuals. The red covers came on later and usually had the glued in manuals on the left hand side. happy tp see this collection ❤
