📖 Those of you asking about the Book: geni.us/WIcnLY It’s now a WORLDWIDE Amazon affiliate link; revenue helps support the channel. It's called Led Zeppelin All the Songs: The Story Behind Every Track and I've linked to it above. It will take you to UK Amazon but you should be able to find it in your own country from there. It's a proper Page turner 😏 beautiful quality and if you like being a know it all, a must have for a Zeppelin fan.

All of a sudden, I'm loving me some Stairway again. You are a true inspiration to the art of guitar. In my day, way back in 1974, I would sit for hours and play with the phonograph in 16 and a third speed and listen over and over to parts of this masterpiece. It wasn't till tabs came along, did I finally be able to play a proper version. Guys like you make it easy for guys like me to sound professional. Thank you Sped

I remember when Zeppelin opened for the Who at Merriwether post pavilion in Columbia Maryland in the summer of 1971 and closed with Stairway What encore to top it all off I made it on stage for the Who by hiding between the amplifiers during the set as they were coming to throw me off a covey of chicks made a dash for the band and the roadies dealt with them instead I got small and with crossed legs sat against the wall of amplifiers and they let me stay and now thanks to you I've got that song tight at last ! Thanks Man! A night and song I'll never forget.

Fantastic lessons mate, you're obviously as much of a Zep head as me. Regarding the ascending low string part that alternates with Plant's vocal line towards the end. I always wondered (no pun intended) whether that was played(to my ears) using octaves. I would love a lesson for Hats Off To Roy Harper, a Marmite track that I absolutely love. Cheers.

Amazing, Thank you! you have facilitated my recent deep dive into Zeppelin. Your lessons on Misty Mountain Hop and Black Dog are what I'm spending my time on. Can't wait to get to The Ocean and Stairway. I learned most of Stairway from my first guitar instructor, unfortunately I'm finding myself trying to un-learn a part that I've been doing wrong for 40 years. very difficult. I'm finding it interesting how often Mr.Page incorporates pre-bends. Love the sound of those, trying to get that technique down. Thanks again!

In all seriousness, I think at this point we should pause, reflect, and ask ourselves whether there is such a thing as *too much* Stairway. And the answer is: no. No there isn't.

Interesting fact , Jimmy Page plays the solo on a Telecaster .

Yeahhhh he did. That’s why I went Strat in the studio sketch. I have never owned a Tele.

@@SpedSpedding I always thought having a Strat was the ultimate guitar . " good enough for Jimi Hendrix " kind of thought . Then I really got into the Stones and " good enough for Keith Richards " . & now Telecasters are my favorite guitar , tone wise & shape . A Gibson 335 would be nice but that's me dreaming on a desert island & now I just have to learn how to become a better player . Peace .

Stairway to Heaven - that's all well and fine, but you restrung your Les Paul without wrapping the strings over the tailpiece. What's up with that?

I did a video where I talked about going back for a change. Seeing how much I notice the tension and resonance change. Also didn’t wanna damage my new tailpiece.
