Extract Coordinates (Lat/Long) from Google Earth Pro | then export to UTM

This video is about extracting coordinates from Google Earth Pro software to Excel. In this video I have extracted lat long data of a polygon drawn in Google earth to excel.
I have shown step by step method to extract the coordinates in batch.
After extracting the lat long coordinates I have then converted this lat long data to
UTM coordinate also by using QGIS Software.
This video tutorial is very helpful in GIS Field.
I have taken West Bengal Survey Institute to show the example of the method.
I have used these software in this overall tutorial:
1. Google Earth Pro
2. Notepad
3. Microsoft Excel
4. QGIS
These are tho following steps I have shown in this video to extract lat long
coordinates:
Step 1: Draw a Polyline in Google Erath Pro by "Add Path" option
Step 2: Save the Path as KML : (Right click-- SavePlaceAs)
Step 3: Open the KML file by openwith Notepad
Step 4: Copy all the text in Notepad and paste to Excel
Step 5: Copy the coordinate section
Step 6: Process the data in excel -watch the video
Step 7: Filter the data
Step 8: after getting lat long save the data as CSV
Step 9: Add Delimited Layer in QGIS
Step 10: Save as UTM
Step 11: Your data is succesfully exported - (congratulations!)

I tried using Wordpad instead of Notepad and it worked very well. I was actually having challenges with the Notepad due to the horizontal arrangement of the coordinates which is contrary to the Wordpad.

Thank you that was a big help ! I ran into a problem though, with me it also exported the altitude as well and it does not separate from the longitude, and I've got around 500 values. Is there a way to get rid of them without doing it manually ?

Hi there, thank you for the great video. There is though a problem when I remove the 0 values; unfortunately the 0 digits inside numbers are removed as well. Thus, if in a cell the value 0 108.15 is included, your method removes not only the 'leading' 0 but also the 0 digit in 108.15, and consequently is transformed to 18.15. Any solutions to this problem?

Hello. Question # 1.there any way to get contours from Google earth and paste into autocad. Question # 2. Is there any to plot two or more points in Google earth and get x y z coordinates for all the intermediate points.??

For your both question we need Z values for which There is a google altitude api for altitude extraction which is paid. You can search in google "google altitude api"

No problem. You can also convert the other coordinates too. While exporting please select geometry as x,y in the export page

Hi pehle Total Station ko aap ka computer ke saath connect karna he USB or Bluetooth ke madhyam me. Uske baad aap import or export kar sakte he. I think insert karne ke liye apko x,y data ko PtID,Easting,Northing ayse format me arrange karna he uske baad usko *.csv format me save karna he. Total station me kaise data import or download karte he uske baare me me baad me ek vidio banaunga Dhannyabad

When I opened .CSV on QGIS, it became "PTID Lat Long" as one column, so I can't process it further. Any help would be apreciated..Thanks :)

In qgis import dialogue box Use delimited as tab, comma, space etc respective of your data.... Otherwise choose auto detect

Sorry for asking again, since I'm new on QGIS. After successfully referencing using nodes, what I want to do is putting both raster image from google map (jpeg) and a vector image from autocad (dwg). But now I'm stuck on how to resize and positioning the raster image correctly. Importing autocad files also didn't work yet...

No need to import google nap jpeg image. Instead of that you can directly overlay google map satellite online map in QGIS.
