The four remaining home cooks travel to Lima, the capital of Peru. They have the honour of working with chef Virgilio Martinez. His world-renowned restaurant Central is known for its unique menu which offers diners a taste of the incredible biodiversity found at different Peruvian altitudes. The four contestants work during a busy lunch service at Central and are given three hours to each cook a dish from Virgilio's 17-course tasting menu.

While the standard Peruvian don't eat this way we do use most of these ingredients. Peruvian food is so varied and so delicious anyway, everyone should try it at least once!

Perú doesn´t have a MasterChef competition, because we don´t need to prove anyone about the quality of our gastronomy - Perú IS the MasterFood

Me encanto el plato de piraña crocante. Creepy and delicious crispy piraña. Very singular Dish and Virgilio you are the best chef

i wonder why British food related shows tend to be too vanilla and so quiet. Kitchen Nightmares UK and Masterchef UK, for example

It’s because we don’t have to make anything over the top and dramatic like the US 😂😂 the use of sound effects on the US kitchen nightmares is ridiculous

As an American, I vastly prefer the British way of doing things. It's dryer, yes, but there's no need for all that loud overly dramatic music to make a point.

Because we're a sensible people... we don't feel the need to add explosions, epilepsy inducing zooming in and out and overdubbed laughs/screams/gasps every 5 seconds

I stand to be corrected but from the auditions I watched from masterchef UK, the contestants are not really home cooks but actual chefs working in professional restaurants

@@siphofani5051 There are 4 version in the UK. MasterChef UK, Celebrity MasterChef, MasterChef: The Professionals, and Junior MasterChef. Not sure if this is the regular homecooks or the pros though.

The peruvian amazon cuisine is diferent than the coast Peruvian cuisine.they used amazon products for making peruvian gourtmet cuisine

But they are Peruvian ingredients. If Virgilio would be only cooking Peruvian dishes he will not be as famous as he is. Just being different you can be outstanding
