Chris, you may not be known throughout the world but everything you do turns out so nice! And while you explain the entire process and make it look easy we who try know that you have a special touch. I personally can give a thumbs up before I watch the video!

Chris! Another great tutorial! Some elements turned out in way that I was pleased. But mostly, wow I’ve got work to do. I’ve watched so many tutorials, but your method of doing water, trees, and the stroke work for the shrubs along the path for instance, and the way you do shadows are the best I’ve seen. Now I’m going into your playlist and working through every tree video you have! Because truly your style is one that for now I’m trying to copy and hopefully it will merge into my individualistic style the more I practice. I learn so much about mixing paints from using the inexpensive Prang paints and I’m truly grateful that you make these beginner tutorials.

Chris, Thanks for a great lesson here. I really enjoyed the breakdown. My SKY turned out brilliant, and the best trees I have done to date. Love the technique for using the side of the flat brush, was able to get some real "Happy Trees". I liked the idea of keeping the palette limited to a few colors, that was a brand new thing for me. Really enjoyed the end results. Pretty soon, I am going to have a whole book of finished artwork. This makes me feel very accomplished. Even if it's not gallery quality, it's a starting point and that's what matters. It's fun to see in a short amount of time too how quickly ones skills can improve with consistent practice. Thanks for making these EXCELLENT videos for us to grow into a watercolor journey. Keep making us better painters.

Thank you Chris. Your method simplifies things so much. I love anything with water in the composition. I ended up buying a few different brands of paint. A few Winsor and Newton, Holbein, Daniel Smith etc...just incase I actually have a painting turn out! Lol!

I’m a pretty beginner beginner … I like doing these. You go fast when mixing the colors 😬 I can’t quite keep up. Color mixing is still a challenge for me. My pic didn’t look anywhere near as nice as yours, but at least I got some practice. Thank you!

Chris when I tried to make the trees, I wasn’t getting the white in my brush strokes…did I have too much water on the brush 😩
