Just a note on iodine. It's good to keep your body topped up because nuclear warfare would result in radioactive iodine isotopes in the air. If you are topped up your body will remove any you absorb instead of holding on to it causing thyroid issues.

Dollar Tree and Dollar General stores have created these "marketplace" stores in different parts of the country, especially in some places called food deserts; it's a real blessing. I find that they have whole, natural foods, even fresh vegetables and fruits - it's incredible! Thanks to their new marketing strategy and products, and in my humble opinion, people of all incomes can now eat and provide their loved ones with much healthier meals, and that's vital to their health. :)

I have had everyone of these items. All are good except the frozen veggies, make sure it is not frozen in a solid mass and separates easily under your fingers. Often they have thawed and refrozen in shipping and when that happens they taste awful. They have mixed berries that are good and there is always pizza sauce without sugar added in jar. I stock up on olives there as well.

@@topherjoe1 agreed... That asparagus is HORRIBLE I had bought three packages when it rotated through my local place... after trying the 1st one without even opening them, the other 2 went in the trash along with it.... However the riced cauliflower was good and served its purpose... I stick with that and the berries from the frozen section that's about it, I wouldn't trust any of that meat...🤢 I'll stick with the canned stuff from the dollar store LOL can't beat white albacore tuna fish for a buck
@topherjoe1
@topherjoe1 3 жыл бұрын
@@jamienonemaker9015 I would choose the albacore over the the canned tuna, the albacore is solid, the regular canned is soupy, I forgot they often have tuna in a packet and that is solid as well. I don't eat fish often much anymore knowing their high fat content "stores" toxins. Overall it is a great place to shop for essentials like laundry, dish soap, cleaning supplies, storage bags, garbage bags, containers, batteries those all can be pricey, buying there will allow you to save some money so you can buy fresh veggies or better quality frozen elsewhere.

@@merediths216 When followed correctly ketosis can be an efficient and healthy way for allot of people to loose weight and it can help with some health conditions like epilepsy. There is a difference between dietary ketosis and ketoacidosis. What happens with diabetic patients is ketoacidosis. Ketoacidosis happens when someone has a health condition that puts their body into overdrive of ketones that makes them produce dangerous levels of ketones. Dietary ketosis does not produce enough ketones to cause a dangerous effect nor can it ever. Ketoacidosis happens from health condition or abnormality . Keto does not exclude random things but specific things like starches and grains. Contrary to popular belief it is not carb free. We do consume carbs they are just from berries, and non starchy vegetable sources. I don't think everyone should eat keto though nor it is for everyone. But it can and does have positive effects on the bodies and health of many people.

@@boots7859 As someone who used to be homeless living in my vehicle with two small children because I escaped an abusive relationship - stop judging people when you have zero idea of their circumstances. I had a Lexus but I had been granted use of it (not ownership, just use) by the courts. So I had no choice but to drive THAT car and I was literally spat on at a food bank because someone saw me getting in it and decided they knew that I was using the system. Again I was h o m e l e s s and living in it with two small children, we were on a waiting list to get into the local domestic violence shelter but I had nowhere else to go and I couldn't help that I just happened to have a nice car *that I couldn't sell because it wasn't mine.*. And trust me, this situation may not be common but it's not as UNcommon as people think. The same with steaks - food stamps roll over. When I was homeless and then in the DV shelter I saved $20 from my food stamps every single month so that when holidays and birthdays came around I could splurge on nicer things to feel "normal" and not always have to think about how I was in such a bad situation. I had people at the store giving me crap for buying cupcakes with my EBT (they were for my kids' birthdays), for buying thanksgiving dinner with it, and for buying a steak *for my birthday*. I had to plan months ahead to be sure those things happened just for a sense of normalcy. Stop perpetuating the idea that poor people can't have or don't deserve nice things just because they're poor. Actual poor people are tired of the judgement. I'm very lucky to have pulled myself out of that, but it was thanks to a lot of luck that happened in my life to put me on a better path - not everyone has that kind of privelege.

@@divinediva_ ...while it’s true that some good Keto-friendly recipes can be produced using DT products...there is not a popular Keto vlogger that prepares recipes & meal plans using primarily DT products (let alone consuming them on a regular basis). My challenge was issued to these two major Keto vloggers to walk the talk and SHOW people who may need (or consider using) DT products to produce and CONSUME the products they are recommending. There are many people who would like to try this, but would be interested in seeing these guys actually eat the food before spending their money on food that they would end up throwing away. I know when I consider trying any consumable at DT, whether food, shampoo, soap, etc, I always check out KZfaq first for the people brave enough to be DT product crash dummies before I buy it.
