Today we are starting in on the dining room which happens to be surrounded by rooms we've already completed here on the channel. It's time to make this gathering space an area where I can work in the day, host in the evenings and utilize whenever I need to just sit at a table, ya know?! What do you think so far?

I’ve always loved that you never hesitate to paint over or start again when something isn’t “quite right”. Too often, people will just live with it and will be forever explaining what they were “really going for”. Beautiful job as usual, Drew! 👏🏾👏🏾

This is going to be fantastic when completed. You are on trend but NEVER copy anyone. You are a true inspiration on how to do it right. You take your time, buy wisely and change the paint color if it isn’t quite right.

I never tape off the glass if I’m painting window trim or door trim. I paint it and get way in to the line between glass and wood. When completely dry, I run a sharp razor blade down the line, then run it flat down and I get the cleanest line and window possible. It saves so much time.

I use a pointed paint brush I found on Amazon. Life savers. No taping required. It gets in tight spots. I love them.

He's spray painting primer, so he did it to protect against overspray.

Love the room so far! Have you considered the bookcase on its side as a credenza option? would be nice since they are the same look and texture as the table

Drew, I love that color! Sometimes my husband will paint a room, where we both pick out the color, sometimes it's a hit or miss. You nailed it! You work so hard, and Justin is such a good friend to help you!! Painting is hard work, but you guys make it look so easy! The house has come so far since you've been living there, I'm so happy for you. It's just beautiful Drew! ❤

you could use that bookcase as a sideboard in your dining room. Laying on its side, its the right height for a side board. add cleats and shelves to keep it open storage or find doors/ hinges to create closed storage.

The left wall (if you’re facing the coffee bar area) would look amazing with an Italian or Spanish vineyard mural either sunset or sunrise.

Those chairs are to die for! I feel like there are so many 16th and 17th century elements in the house -- the larger kitchen for one, the fireplace for another, and now the dining room with the amazing table and chairs. Bravo, Drew! Hitting it out of the park! 😀💜💥👍

LOVE everything, as always. I really like the book shelf lying horizontally against the wall at the end and think the width is perfect. Maybe consider adding horizontal wood planks to make your own vintage version of the IKEA Kallax unit. That way, you'll have the matching shelf in the same room as the dining table, where the shelf is the right width, and where you can use the shelf to display your decor.

STUNNING. An antique credenza would be perfect, and decorating a large buffet credenza is the funnest thing in the world. Imagine if you painted those windows and door the same dark brown as in the living and add the diamond muntins?

So far so good! Absolutely love the walls! Have you ever thought about putting a nice heavy piece of glass on that antique table? It would keep food from falling into the cracks, but it would also make it dressier. My mother had done this with a table made from Old Barn-wood.

It will be fun to see what wall art, if any, he chooses. Nice Mexican art (like Diego Rivera) or Spanish art (Velasquez, El Greco) would be nice. Or even a large Mexican textile.

Maybe you could use the bookcase on the wall turned sideways as you have it on the floor. Add shelves and do your decorating on the shelves, maybe handmade pottery dishes, cups, etc. I think the inside of the bookcase needs to be the color of the walls.

It looks like beautiful parchment paper and I love the dark woods. Even though you get a lot of light etc I personally love dark tones and rooms and how warm, cosy and comfortable I feel in them and not many people take the chance on deeper and darker tones. I get very little natural light in my present house and apart from being unable to keep plants alive in there it isn’t an issue at all. It always has a lovely glow.
