That’s really good that you decided to take out the water damage. When renovating one of the biggest mistakes that you could make is going over and ignoring the water damage because it’ll get worse and in the long run cause even more damage than they’re all ready is.

Me, my brother, and my dad completely redid our entire bathroom (including a new toilet, new shower, cementing and building more floorboards because the original floor was uneven, so forth) so it's fun to see someone else experience the nightmare of home renevation!

Doing tile really isn’t that much (depending on what your budget is). And you won’t have to spend extra money on re-going it again later. I’m getting TWO bathrooms tiled for $750 which includes the cost of grout and materials, just not the tile. (One bathroom is pretty big and one is smaller), I bought the tile which was under $2 a square foot. then I called a TON of people and found a local guy to do it for us. You get get it don’t for not too much if your patient and ask around! Also, bless small local guys! (You can also do it yourself, but if you don’t get the tiles even, the grout will crack and all that). I recommend doing tile if your debating!
