For the closet, what I did after taking the doors of mine off was to put a curtain rod with a curtain that way if it’s messy I can close them and they’re easier to deal with :)

Love it so much! A tip for installing battens, once you have your spacing between boards just cut a board to that length to use as a template to butt the next board up to on top then bottom. Then you wouldn’t have to measure every time and it would be a huge timesaver.

I really like your design style. It’s hard to determine the type bit I pick up sophisticated, whimsy and comfort. I also love that you are not afraid of color or patterns. So looking forward to seeing you transform this new home.

Such a cute room! I have a 5 yr old and 8 month old, both girls and I am lucky in that there isn't much jealousy. My older one even said that she wants to share a room with her baby sister when she is older. How sweet.

since u took the doors off on the closet I would recommend getting curtains! my doors on my closet broke so I just have curtains that I customized so the length would work. I used command hooks to attach the curtain pole above my closet! this way the visual simplicity can still happen but they are soo easy to open :D hope this helps if ur looking for it!

I agree with the curtain for the closet. This way they can play hideaway in the closet without the feeling of being trapped behind massive doors. Adjustable shelves and baskets are neccesities in my closet (Ivar shelves), together with two bars for hangers. It's the only way it stays organized. I should have learned that this is also a proper way of organizing years ago... The room looks gorgeous!

Love it! For the closet doors you can always do a shower tension rod and a curtain! The first house we rented randomly didn’t have closet doors lol so we used curtains. It worked well!

Looks great! We hung a curtain rod and curtain above our daughter's closet (in place of a door). They stay open most of the time but she can open and close them independently to access her clothes and we can hide the mess if we need to.

Very girly and feminine enough to work for them as they grow up, that is until their tastes wanna be expressed😉 I'm reading so many people saying to put up a curtain in place of the closet door or use different doors.... my first response when I saw the end result personally was...WOW, that looks so much better! It brought definition, depth, color and conture to that wall and enlarged the room to my idea. I Love the way it looks!I did that once myself many years ago in a very small room and the appearance was more open. Doors and curtains would shrink the space again and make it look smaller. But we all have different preferences. Great Job!!😁👏 Just a memory notation: I recall my Momma seeing a small desk-type table put out at the road as trash as she walked us to school one morning. It was stained but otherwise great condition. While we were at school she had carried it home, no doubt scrubbed it thoroughly, painted it glossy white, walked to the store & bought a cheap, pretty, pink sheer curtain and those gold upholstery tacks. It must've taken her a couple of hours but she meticulously pleated and tacked that sheer curtain around the front and sides of this table, then put all our girly brushes, bows, perfume & accessories on top with a wall mirror above it. As a pre-teen we were so surprised and happy at having our very own vanity table! Our cousin had said "Ya'll get everything" Really, we had little. Money was not so readily available in those days... no credit cards to buy now, pay later. Our Momma just had a creative talent. Like gluing noodles on a cheap picture frame, then painting it gold. She was asked for years "Where did you buy those beautiful frames?" Any they were truly beautiful and she had them for 30+ years. They looked so expensive! No one knew it was noodles😆!
