Absolutely stunning makeover. Love all the accents and details. Only thing is the boring doors that are probably still the originals. Otherwise, I can’t get over what a HUGE improvement it has turned into. Looking forward to the faux fireplace video. Keep up the amazing work Melissa!!!

This is really awesome! Amazing work! Can’t believe you did all that by yourself! That’s intimidating. The beams are incredible! Only thing I’m not a super fan of is the stone stuff around the fireplace. I would have used round smooth river rock instead. But what’s there isn’t horrible.

Those beams are fantastic. I wish I had the motivation and creativity to go into so much detail with my own home, I just kind of make the most of what I have rather than totally reimagining the spaces. The addition of the beams and the fireplace are things I'd never think to do.

6:14 for those that have a need to try this with their door, I would like to suggest body filler. Yep, the stuff body shops use. I find it easier to work with (personal preference) and the adhesion is superb. Also, it sands super smooth and takes paint great. Just throwing this out there because the JB Weld products, while good products, can be difficult to mix *properly*

Looks great. One thing to mention, Extending your span height to match the beams... Wood expands and contracts and you could get cracking in your joint compound. It also may never be an issue, so don't mind me.
