I grew up in the house right to the left of this property. It was an experience. Power outages, the streets flooded with cars for miles, crowds gathering all up and down the road. The bar across the street was overwhelmed. Our family gathered every day to watch under the shade of the tree near where we used to put the pool, but i don't remember if we had the pool up during this. My father and his friends all yelled acrossed the yard "Come have a beer" and I remember Ty waving overhand to come over and meet us. He shook everyones hand and was so kind the whole time. He did NOT accept the drink, but was very apologetic and saying he appreciates our cooperation through the process, as they had very quickly found out the power grid was struggling with the mass amounts of power being drawn to the property. It was a crazy week.

It’s 2022 and I’m still watching Extreme Makeovers, they are so Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the most emotional episodes I've seen. This episode made me miss my dad. Yeah I'll say it I shed a tear. Great job TY and the design team for making the Koepke family come true.

First time I bawled 5 minutes into the show. I'm glad Tye could tell Matt he was coming, I hope it gave Matt some peace. This is a really beautiful episode.

This beautiful family gave him the strength to face the ending ; I have heard about somebody dying of cancer telling his son who was scheduled for an important exam " Do not let this small thing stop you " . It gives you joy to still support and encourage your family till the end .

I love what they have done , not only in this episode . It was a great show one of the kind . And they have done more for people then any so called philanthropist around . However the only problem i have when when you say its a surprise let it be a surprise , each time the call them out they come dressed with microphones , bet beside this i will watch the show forever pity no longer exists !
