I’m ex cabin crew for easyjet and loved working for them. I had to give up in the end as my ears were damaged, however this is not severe turbulence! This would be categorised as mild. It feels horrible for passengers admittedly, but trust me - when you experience severe turbulence, you know all about it!

If you ever fly over Japan or somewhere like that, that is turbulence, i was on a plane once, with turbulence for three hours, very unpleaseant

I was on a Delta flight from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale (we originated in Baltimore.) We were delayed several times at BWI because of storms there in Baltimore and and Atlanta. Now ATL is their hub, so there were quite a few flights going to ATL that afternoon/evening, but the weather on the east coast that night delayed everything, so they were all sitting at the gates at the same time waiting to depart. So after speaking to the desk and going through all of the flights to ATL, I finally got them to put us a small Canadair regional jet to ATL that was about to taxi into line. After sitting on the runway in the tiny regional jet for about two and a half hours, we finally took off and got to ATL with no problem. Next we took off from ATL to Fort Lauderdale. We fell asleep and woke up 3 hours later and realized we had been circling around fort Lauderdale for hours because of storms. We were finally so low on fuel we had to land in the middle of a thunderstorm. That was the worst turbulence I've ever experienced. The plane was bouncing up and down dropping tens of feet at a time. Pitching hard to the right and left. Shaking. Stuff was flying everywhere in the cabin and was all over the floor. Lightning was striking all around us when we landed. It was terrifying. That's the only time I've ever been scared on a plane. And even though it wasn't like we were crashing or anything l, it was still considered an "emergency landing" because of the fuel situation and the active thunderstorm near the runways. So after being breifed over the PA, we had to do the whole "brace brace brace" thing when we were coming in. When we finally got to the runway The landing was quite smooth considering all of the weather we went through. Great pilots and crew on that flight 😁😁😁.

Same as my landing in Skavsta today at 7:15 with a wizzair A320-200 There was pretty big wind and when the autopilot was deactivated the plane started to rock heavily but the landing was good I almost didn't feel it And this landing shown in the video looked very similar to what I saw looking out the window And literally no one clapped

We flew with easyJet a about a week ago back from Tenerife into Luton, 45mph crosswinds battered the aircraft on approach and we dropped about 120ft due to turbulence maybe half a mile from the airport. Landing was almost identical to this video, absolutely buttered the landing but just as we were above runway, the plane verged to the left like in this vide

Very few times have I been in a plane or seen a video of one where the landing has been so smooth you can't hear or barely feel the wheels touching the ground. Phenomenal piloting skills.

Well, the A320 kind of smoothens itself out in turbulence as much as it can.

That touch down was exceptionally smooth given that the plane rocked pretty good as it came into the airfield. Very well executed by the pilots.

I was on a flight from Dallas to Newark once and the turbulence was so bad flying in to New Jersey that I thought it was the end. There seemed no way the pilot would be able to land the plane the way it was rocking up and down, twisting left and right, and moving all over the sky, yet the landing was one of the smoothest I’ve ever experienced.

I think it's important to note, that some of the rocking motion is caused by the pilot lining up the plane with the runway. You can tell how severe the turbulence is by how much the wingtip bends. In this video, it doesn't bend that much.

1:16 Wind shear ?
@jal23819973 жыл бұрын
Kind of. I'm not saying it's necessarily the case in this video, but a feature of Manchester airport is the way the wind behaves if you're landing on runway 23R and the wind is from the west/northwest, it passes over the terminal and the multi-storey car parks and that churns it all up so as you descend through about 150 feet to about 50 feet you can get some sudden hefty turbulence from it, and then below about 50 feet or so you're kind of sheltered from it by the same buildings. It all happens quite quickly but the result is usually as you see here. It only happens in the conditions described though. I hope that's interesting to you! :D
