Dirtyd23 I had one before, it was my favorite amplifier. Had to sell it unfortunately but now I have one of there other amps from Execution Audio.

Even there execution audio amps are really nice. It is a simple design but I still dig it. Just not as much as the clear bottom CT Sounds amps though.

believe me when i say this. I set the gains on the CT amp before i did this (with a DD-1 of course). Mechanical failure YES. Electrical, nope. But it would have if i kept pushing while it was locked up though haha.

Really Impressed with how long it took that abuse! Looked like the voice coil popped itself on out of the magnet, I wonder how long that thing could have made it if the surround was healthy!

Hey! I have a CT Sounds 500.1 amp with the bass control knob. Super handy. Overall, great amp. No issues after almost 3 years.

First off, that CT Sounds amp is gorgeous! That little 8" held together surprisingly well; I'm impressed! Right up until the voice coil jumped the gap, anyway... LOL

Was watching the video through bluetooth in my 06 Cummins on a Rockford 300.4, Rockford 1200.1, 2 sets of Rockford 6.5s (Rear Doors & Kicks) a set of Rockford 6x9s (front doors) & 2 Rockford P3S, and that shit sounded hella dope. It was slammin in my truck watching this video.

My 2000 Expedition had the Mach system. The factory subwoofer surprisingly had little foam rot. Unfortunately I couldn't get the driver out (turns out it's bolted to the back of the box) so I ripped the cone out to get to the wires from the stock amp. For a few months that little amp was impressive powering a 18" Dayton classic. My amp rack now resides where the old box was.

That thing impressed me as well as for a stock subwoofer it's impressive, the spider had some nice deep rolls, the voice coil was nicely sized and hey it did rip a aluminum former, but it was the weakest link for only two layers but hey it was wound high, guess the former needed just a touch more on the mils.

crazy how the voice coil didn't even discolor. the former broke from the woofer cone attachment point. if that surround wasn't such crap that's not bad for something from the factory. you were hitting it hard.

Steve if you get this I have a Question . I have a 12" Rockford P2D2 Sub it says 800w Max and 400w RMS But I used to run my Old school P2's back in the day at 500w RMS each . And I hear it's fine but is it really ? How durable are RF Punch Subs these days?

Do you think that bass knobs are more of a bass boost or a remote gain? I had a kicker amp and it acted like more of a boost, but on my hifonics it acts more like a remote gain control.

Usually the way it works is with the bass knob all the way up, it's like having no knob at all. But turning it down is like turning your gain down. It's not a good idea because it can cause big spikes but if you were playing a bass note with the knob turned down, then unplugged it while the note was playing, the output would jump up to if the knob were maxed out. At least that's how it is with all my amps.

That should handle around 300 to 400 if it stays true to the punch line up I've never personally had a p1 but I have 2 p2 and if that amp is only 50 watts then you're seriously underpowering them
