IMPORTANT: They do not explain this (or anything) in the video. Make sure your right d-pad buttons (circle, triangle, square, and x) are in the correct slots. They all look the same, but are not. I had the triangle and square buttons backwards and had to take apart the entire controller all over again...

All my buttons are functionable but I cant turn off or change the colors. My d pad is showing a purple light and the rest of the buttons are blue lights.

Thought I had completed the re-wire; put it all back together and realized the triangle and circle buttons were stuck! This was after I thought I had already broken the controller when I removed a tiny flex cable and the whole thing came out. (Realized later that both those tiny flex cables can be removed and are simply grounded by rubber clips that have tiny lips that slip into slots and hold them in place). Its not stated in the video, but this is important: make sure your right d-pad buttons are in the correct slots. There is no way to know this without trial and error! Because the controller was face down I couldn't tell that two of my buttons were not fitting into the proper slots. I had to take the controller back apart to fix the buttons, which was precarious. They really should mark the clear buttons with an outline of the four shapes so that one can know for sure.

Why wouldn't you just make it so the leds activate once the controller is turned on? That would make much more sense than having a seperate activation sequence just to turn on the lights.

They look great but not as simple to use as the older ps4 ones. I prefer the touch sensitive ones over this. I cant add it to my controllers with mods because of the button combinations you need to do to access the lighting effects/colors. It would even be better if you could use the create and options buttons to control the lighting similar to the series x lights you have. I was excited when I saw these coming out but I guess I just have to keep using the PS4 LED kits

One thing I'm noticing is that on certain games, the rumble appears to cause disconnect after install. I have 2 Midnight Blacks and 1 Startlight Blue. The midnight blacks have the mod installed, the blue is stock. When playing Stray and using the triggers for scratching; or when playing FF7R and basically anything is happening in battle; the modded controllers are disconnecting. It is also taking several attempts to reconnect, and sometimes reconnecting puts them in a frozen state where the normal light around the touchpad is on and blue but the console doesn't recognize it as connected and so no buttons do anything. Turning the console off still turns the controller off in this state. Starlight Blue goes through these games just fine. I'm convinced it's something to do with the rumble and/or battery and/or bluetooth antenna, but I'm unsure if it's this kit or something wrong with that model of controller. PS4 games so far are fine, Elden Ring, Crash 4, and Yakuza 7 are also fine on PS5. But those 2 games above are nigh unplayable with my controllers that have this kit installed. Even if the LED function is turned off.

Hey I’ve gotten the controller set up but the commands to change or turn off the lights don’t seem to be working. Could somebody help me please because I have no clue what I’m missing

On the PS5 Menu all of my buttons are functioning properly except for L1 and L2, when I open an application then ALL buttons become unresponsive. I don’t want to discourage anyone from purchasing this product because it looks incredible on my DualShock controller but I would greatly appreciate some assistance from anyone primarily ExtremeRate on how to troubleshoot my problem. Again this is not to discourage anyone for I have seen plenty of success stories with installation with them enjoying the product. Hopefully this issue can be resolved so I can mod all my controllers with this product. Thanks in advance to any helping hands.

I followed this tutorial step by step three times. the first time the controller didn't work. and I mean I took a week old controller and put all the ribbons on and everything correctly connections all fine but when I go to turn on my controller it doesn't turn on. I take out the ribbons and make the controller factory again still doesn't work. this is a common problem if you look at the review's on amazon lots of negative about controllers not working anymore. now I'm out a 70 dollar controller and still don't have back paddles.

Does not appear to work with Aim controllers with remappable paddles. Going to try and confirm this with Aim Controller's support tomorrow.

After installing this in my controller, the white light above the speaker lights up when the controller is charging, even if the console is off. Any idea what's going on with it?
