There is Hasegawa Starfighter in market and this came to reclaim its crown. on the outside merits are not riveted wings and option for open electronics bay behind the cockpit and radar. There is option to put the cockpit open or closed too as well as speed brakes. Flaps can be posed up or down and there is wing tip option when wingtip tanks or missiles are not installed. I like that there is these options and potentially Cartograph decals sounded good. I'm not sure about the decal colors, and there is no stencil data or even decal for instrument panel, as it would need one as there is no dials in the gauges. There is also a small photo-etch fret witch provide for example harnesses to the ejection seat.
Instructions are black and white, but they are quite clear with some focused view pictures. Some options are not explained clear enough though, so you have to use some references. Plane went together very easily as modern plane should. There are not much ejector pin marks in the places that would show.
I'm quite very with the model, but I have to build Hasegawa one before I decide if I should build another Kinetic Starfighter.
