I don't think I've ever seen that. It's always show center in front of the crowd. Hoping to see the same during the demo next weekend in Portsmouth NH😊

I was there in person, it was a super good show to see, the EA-18 growlers & F-35’s were superb too, good video work spencer.

I've noticed more and more that AF and Navy pilots flying F-16s and F-18s basically fly high speed passes in AB with a climb at the end. Loud and fast but pretty much the same thing over and over. Watching foreign pilots flying the same aircraft they really show the aircrafts maneuverability and strengths and their own skill with some pretty creative flying and even the use of flares. It's almost to the point where I'll skip a demo vid if it's US pilots doing it.

@anglovirtual It's kinda funny. When I was younger I always read that Soviet pilots were mindless robots, over controlled and lacked any creativity. And American pilots were creative and flying on the edge. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore. I can see the day when some general decides actually taking off and flying is too dangerous and limit everything to simulators "to be safe".

You are absolutely correct. The Belgium Viper is the best example. The Finns and Swiss have their own say with F-18. Pilots should show the true capability of the Aircraft.

There's a flight plan basically. They have all the maneuvers planned out. How to do it, when to do it, where and all that. Each pass they make is different. Just gotta know what they're doing for it to seem different
