On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. @@ItzRetro2019 if it's a Naval fight wouldn't Chinese use J-15 and J-16 Possibly a J-20's stationed at a nearby base could work for a scenario but J-20's would likely be Scrambled from further away while J-15's/J-16's would likely be on scene much quicker considering they're Naval Aircraft

Laughing at your landing which was about as good as it can get. Can't tell you how many times I watched fighter/bombers land at Da Nang. You could tell what branch they were when they hit the runway. AF smooth as silk, Marines in the middle, Navy was a crash landing! :) Ask anybody who was there!

Same thing for pilots at continental/now all united airlines. As a machinist I could tell the pilot by the amount of damage and wear on the landing gear and wing/tail joints.... yeuùp... entire nose wheel box is cracked......navy pilot

This would be awesome. I would love to see it with GS in both aircraft too. This will paint a clearer picture as GS is almost always the better pilot in these scenarios. I mean here he is beating the Eurofighter in an F-16, were it the other way round I would imagine he would have the fight won rather quickly.

Just got back from a trip to London and they were doing an annual show of force for the RAF one day while we were walking in Leister Square. Got to see a couple of Typhoons in formation with a RAF 737, then about a 12 ship in tight formation (only had a brief chance to see them and couldn't get an accurate count). That was followed by about 6 F-35s in formation as well. Very neat stuff!

You do know that an RAF Typhoon took on two US F-15 air dominance figter aircraft at the same time and won. Plus a RAF Typhoon pilot would never expend all its air to air missiles without taking you down first.

When the eurofighter lose lock, and the meteor missile goes for the last known location. Does it go where the plane were seen the last last time by the radar, or it goes the location where the plane was heading the last time it was on radar?

The missile will go to the estimated location of the bandit based on the last position data it got.

Awesome video man. One note I would make is you need to maintain centerline discipline on the runway. Also the f16 needs to be walked down the runway to burn off speed and not put too much pressure on the brakes

Maybe it’s just the way these fights tend to be set up, but the AMRAAM seems like it has such underwhelming capabilities compared to the Meteor and R-37.

Great vid.. I have a question though... Is there anything in the works for an F-8 Crusader?... That plane was as loved by Jam pilots as the Tom cat was to later pilots... F18 - sooo versatile in like every task imaginable (bvr quite okay, 1-circle monster, bombing, SEAD if i remember correctly, can even be used as tanker)

@@Mantorix Exactly what I was thinking. Nothing beats the F-18 in terms being both versatile and cost effective. The only issue I have is that the F-16 is better at BVR (at least from what I've seen) while also being a bit cheaper than the F-18.

Is the AN/AAQ-32 IRST not modeled on the F-16, or does it just not play that big a part in BVR targeting?

Not modeled since that is only available for Block 60 F-16E/F while we have a F-16CM Block 50 in this sim.

Why do you fly with the LITENING pod when you're kitted for BVR? Won't it just cause unnecessary drag for no gain? It's not like you're using it for air-to-air.

Depends. When the enemy is like 10nm or less close, then the missile will go active immediately. Beyond that, the aircraft guides the missile via 2 way datalink until either a certain distance or if he breaks the lock, the missile will go active then.
