On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

I like how the first of these videos was "the attacker should win 100% of the time if no mistakes are made," and this video was the exception. Unless it wasn't, because it turns out that even when you are on the tail of an F-22, it is still the attacker (after maybe one turn).

@@kickassman31 The F-35 had to make too many compromises to get a stealth multirole plane. It is good at what it does and it has better sensors and information managment, but in a fight the F-22 would still outclass it.

So I showed this video to my dad, a retired air traffic controller. We had just watched Top Gun 2, and I wanted to show him what real dogfights look like. His eyes were glued, lots of questions. I think you might get another sub 👍 The channel is a great resource for air combat education! I see even retired fighter pilots are using it for that now🤝

This is good timing. I just got back from the CFB Cold Lake Airshow. We had the CF-18 Demo Team there as well as the F-22 Demo Team. Getting to see the Legacy Hornet fly back to back with the Raptor was incredible. Very well matched in terms of radius at the show, but that damn Raptor can do a backflip and then keep going like nothing ever happened! It's ability to depart flight at will is unbelievable! And then the pilot just resumes flying again on his own time. Unreal! And it's vertical performance is stunning. Straight to orbit with very little effort! I am a believer in the Raptor now! It truly is second to NONE!!

the F-22 has well above 1:1 thrust to weight ratio which allows it to maintain control and nose authority in almost any situation

That Raptor vs Viper fight was gold, it embodied the phrase "fight your own fight" with the Viper going 2-circle, which it does best, and the Raptor baiting the Viper into a one-circle which it is better at than the Viper and knew the Viper should never be challenged into a 2 circle deck rate fight.

This is how fighter pilots train BFM! They line up taking turns as attacker/defender and do some where they start out neutral. Helps you practice starting where you may not realize someone got on your tail, or maybe when you snuck up behind someone in a Raptor and they suddenly look back to see you off their wing!

Great video GS! Thank you. I feel for your frustration but why didn't you try the Eurofighter, Su 37, Su 57, another F-22, J-16 or J-20 or P-51 Mustang to challenge the F-22? The fighters I mentioned would have given you a greater advantage than the Mig 29, F-15 or the Hornet.
