Welcome to another action-packed DCS (Digital Combat Simulator) mission! In this thrilling video, we follow a pair of F/A-18C Hornets as they execute a high-stakes Close Air Support (CAS) mission over the vast desert landscape of the Persian Gulf.
Our mission begins with two Hornets taking off in line. One Hornet is armed for air-to-ground attacks, while its wingman provides essential air-to-air protection, ensuring the safety of the mission. As they soar over the stunning desert scenery, the tension mounts.
The first objective is to neutralize enemy air defenses. Watch as the CAS-equipped Hornet expertly launches Mavericks, taking out SAM sites with precision strikes. All the while, the protective Hornet maintains formation, ready to engage any aerial threats.
With the air defenses eliminated, the CAS Hornet turns its attention to the primary target: a group of armored vehicles. Diving towards the target, the pilot releases Mk-82 bombs with pinpoint accuracy, delivering devastating blows to the enemy group. The combined firepower and coordination of the two Hornets showcase the effectiveness of Close Air Support missions.
After the successful strike, the Hornets head back to base in open formation. The video concludes with seemingly rough landing, however, that sort of pressure is needed for the Hornet's undercarriage.
