I think the idea is that the mask is clear so Corey can paint his face as he pleases. That, and I think the mask is supposed to be not unlike what a burn victim would wear, maybe symbolizing a fresh start or new face of sorts. Maybe I'm stretching, but I remembered reading it somewhere.

I swear, people are so confused about music these days 😂 Just because it's heavy, doesn't mean it can't have any melody. Look at everything that came out before death and thrash metal. It's ONLY melodic vocals. The string section was also pretty melodic. But THAT shit was the HEAVIEST back then. And we STILL don't call it "POP" these days either.

Good call brother! I bet they drop another single quickly. This is an easy song for them to bounce onto Kimmel with. Really love the production of the song, much more refined than “All Out Life”

I had a similar experience with this song to “All Out Life” the level of excitement that I haven’t felt this much of in metal since probably Avenged Sevenfold’s “The Stage” album release a few years back.

Naythin22.....I couldn’t agree with you more...I say all the time since the album first released that I consider it one of my favorite metal albums of all time...and especially over the past 5 years...I’ve checked out a lot of metal...behemoth’s “The Satanist” is also something that I think of as like a top 10 favorite

Just remember, every single they come out with before the album release is always softer than the rest of the album. Wait and Bleed, My Plague, Vermillion, Dead Memories, Killpop. I'm expecting this to be the case with this single and the new album as well

I have to say Corey's look in this with his mask gave me chills. I got the whole Phantom of the Opera vibe from him and I think that is a really sick take on how he is as a singer and perfomer. I have been a fan since they first came out and they never fail.
