I have a commercial grouper boat in Florida i haul it out every two years for a bottom job and repaint the gear shaft prop etc and use Scotch Brite pads in between to keep it as clean as possible i top out at 9 knots so i need a smooth bottom i know the work that goes into this process nice work captain we haul our boats out on a cradle on a rail way and a big winch

Hmm, besides the different machines used there is another huge difference in a haulout in BC, the yard is required by law to pressure wash the fouling before setting it on blocks. 30 minutes in the slings of the travel lift in a designated area to wash the hull clear of 99% of the fouling. and yup, most yards use a travel lift to haul out, a few use the old rail and cradle systems still.
