No doubt, reverse engineering is a good way to learn technical know how. unfortunately its not jack of all trade. You may able to measure each turbine components accuracy up to 3 decimal point. However, the technology that made up the precision components would be a challenge. turbine blade for instance, the material components may consist of more than 3 combined rare earth materials. You need to completely hold the fabrication know how, only then you can duplicate the heat resistance blade which can withstand more than 1,700 degree Celsius. Unfortunately, no company will share these trade secret FOC, and no one will tell you how you can do it. Its not simple as you mentioned. Other company had spend decades to make this up and I think they will made it as a hard nut for anyone.
