As a fellow ontario bronco owner, I'd recommend swapping your tie rod to ontop, just need to ream it out or you ream it and install a sleeve so it's not hour glass. Easier on steering parts and handle way better. Your radius arms are a weak point since you went with drop brackets over extended radius arms. I would recommend plating them, they fold in half easy.

@@phantomwalker8251 completely disagree. I ran TTB for 12yrs, with 35s, locked, 16" of wheel travel in the front. Jumped it and drove it down the highway. When you understand it is fun. I now have d60 and ORI's on 40s, its tougher but it was way more fun with TTB.
@birdman9227
@birdman9227 3 жыл бұрын
@@phantomwalker8251 second, the TTB is a d44. If your going to go through all that to solid axle atleast put a d60 in. But anyone that says it's junk just doesn't understand how it work, couldn't figure out how to get it to work.

When ever I’ve had to deal with Ford frame rivets, I’ve used an angle grinder to remove the head til it was flush. Then I’d use a drill with about an 1/8" drill bit to drill hole deep enough to clear the thickness of the frame. Then a punch and hammer. Out usually in one wack. The 1/8" hole relieves the tension of the rivet.

I had a 1980 which was the first 4x4 with IFS, let me tell you it's a game changer you don't lose traction in the whoops and you can climb anything, mine only had two shocks on the front axle and went into a death wobble under freeway braking, I built my own quad shock towers, and a couple years later Ford came out with those standard, there isn't a single Ford 4x4 pickup part on it they will not fit or not the same especially the brake calipers which are stainless steel on the bronco and they're some kind of fiber stuff that will almost kill you when the brake pads fall out and the e-brake cable snaps, that exhaust is coming through the back window you can't have it down when you drive, they're very easy to work on you can change it rear axles just like changing a tire as long as you take it to a machine shop and press a new bearing on.

Great looking truck! I bought an 86 Bull Nose last year. Fully optioned xlt version. It already had the 4” lift with 33” tires on it. One thing i highly recommend is a set of extended radius arms. Although my truck had a great ride as it was. The arms made the ride even plusher. Now it rides as nice as an escalade down the road. And it gives it a bit more travel for off roading.

Broncos are allot of fun. Just think back in the late 80's early 90's they couldn't give the 78/79 Bronco away and now you cannot touch one for under $10 grand in wrecked condition. I had a built up 79 460 4spd loaded, a 78 auto 400 at the same time (still have both), I had an 86 300 inline 6 that I put a 302 into, had an 87 with the AOD trans that loved to blow overdrive.. Needless to say I love Broncos and always will. Best modification you can do is a solid Axle swap up front, after that beat it like you stole it
