Diesel electric hybrid makes so much sense.... Completly changes the gearing so you you only need 20 gears vs 27+. You wont burn fuel in stop and go traffic. You get trq braking fro the ev and diesel. Lower noise in residential.. this would be amazing.

When Gm decided to stick with the pushrod design, Ford said that was a foolish decision. Fast forward to today and now they're making pushrod engines again. Simplicity means more reliability. But that Coyote does look good under the hood of an ol school Ford or Mercury classic.

Im sure you can find the 5.9 magnum a new home they have a nice flowing cylinder heads hyper technique pistons stout crank and rods and its roller cam engine the only thing that kept them down on power was a 9.1 compression and a taxi cab cam profile there great hod rod fodder and a 120 thousand miles is nothing to them.

Sucks that every time people do videos like these, the prices on the items they are reviewing skyrockets. So, technically, it makes the videos pointless because the item is no longer "cheap."

That’s a nice van. Sounds great and as mentioned maybe just needs a better ratio on the rear end. Dumped this video earlier and went to Puglife’s channel. He’s been fixing a couple of rust holes on his truck. No ‘dry state’ body swap nonsense the man has been doing ‘real’ repairs. He deserves this van and support also.. no back to finish watching this ‘vidjeo’

If your aim is to retrofit a variety of different trucks, have you considered in-wheel hub electric motors? You wouldn't need to mod the front end of a two-wheel drive to make it a 4x4. I'm really liking your concept of making an EV with a generator. A lot of hybrids have electric motors that assist the internal combustion engine. I've always thought that was stupid. As you pointed out an engine has an rpm sweet spot of efficiency. Running at that constant rate, using a smaller and lighter motor to top off the batteries, is the way the BMW i3 hybrid Range Extender model worked. Plugging your truck into your house to use as a generator is awesome. I have a 3000-watt inverter in my GMC I use to run the furnace in power outages. I'd love to run the whole house that would be too cool. emergence generator can be very noisy

Listening to you guys rap is mindblowing to hear you all talking about the things I have been thinking about since the 90s. I started driving trucks in 1984 and I kept seeing natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina, and I was like if there were hybrid semis, FEMA wouldn't have to move mountains to get power to disaster relief locations, they could drive the generators to that area "mobile power grid" and be delivering the emergency supplies at the same time, it's all going to get there by truck anyway. I love the shape of Topsy, she reminds me of the 64 Autocar I drove for a coal company.

Battery cant be used in heavy desiel? Heavy desiel isnt going away? No one can review the Tesla trucks on the road? These are all lies. Flat out lies you can search and prove theyre lies in 10 seconds. Im intereated in what youre doing but you juat wenr to 1.5 playback speed. Strikes one and two. Cat has electeic only self driving mining units on the job for a year or two. They don't market to you so you dont know about it. I think its the American fleet Managers asso had trucks from all manufacturers running routes durring their convention last year. Happens every convention becauaw they buy trucks. Tesla trucks were available and people could ride in them and publish the performance. Theyre selling them as fast as they can build them. No one needs to sell trucks so people act like all the major desiel dont have 100% elecrric trucks on the road. They have had them for years. The first 100% self driving delivery truck in Colorado was 2014. Budwiser runs from Ft Collins to Colorado Springs right through denver ruah hour. Come on, be a man and stand by your own work instead of lying about what you nothing about.
