My favorite thing about this race is watching The Skull consistently staying in top 4 frequently passing Falcon, Blood Falcon, and Black Shadow. The man lives up to his legendary skill reputation.

1:41 I love how at this point both Blood Falcon and Black Shadow try to attack you and fail.

For those two sharp left turns, I performed a drift turn and then immediately let off the L button while still holding the R button. It allowed me to make that sharp of a turn.

This mission is damn-near impossible. I'd still say it's easier than Mission 5 but that doesn't change the fact that it took me about four hours to complete it on all difficulties. I can't imagine having to do it without killing Black Shadow or Blood Falcon. I can say that nothing is more stressful than successfully killing those two early in the race and maintain your survival, knowing that one fuck up and you have to start all over.

***** It just takes a lot... a LOT of dedication. Mission 5 literally took me 24 hours of straight playtime (aside from a few breaks for food) to beat on Very Hard and when I finally did, I actually had 41.3 seconds or somewhere around there on the clock but I managed to squeeze into the door just far enough before being crushed to where the machine was destroyed but the game still read it passing through the finish line.

It's weird that you get a reward for beating all missions on Hard but not on Very Hard.

***** I specifically bought a new Wii when my old one stopped reading disks for some reason just to finish completing the story mode on Very Hard. I had put so much effort into reaching Chapter 8 and I was not about to stop there. The trick with every chapter is to just treat it more like a Time Trial than a race. The other racers are more so obstacles than opponents. With Mission 8 and 9, I found it easier to set the machine settings so that it wasn't all the way toward Max Speed.

Just for handling. You see, the closer to acceleration, the more easily the machine can turn. Some of the turns in the Underworld track are pretty much impossible to make at max speed, and hitting the walls makes you slow down. With max speed you can make sharp corner turns relatively easily like in Mission 3, but sudden 180 degree turns like mission 8 and 9 are near impossible. Of course, put the setting too far toward acceleration and you won't be able to keep up with the competition, so it's more about finding the right balance to where you can go as fast as you can while still making the turns cleanly. I believe I generally kept it a few notches above half-way toward max speed for 8 and 9. Although Max Speed is generally used in Mission 7

I did this today, and I must say that it is a nearly impossible mission. My luck was that Black Shadow came out, otherwise I would not have ever made. i'll hate all my life that final curve GRRRRRRRRRR.

Funny thing is that one of the Staff Ghosts implements that snaking technique. I think it was on Outer Space Meteor Stream.

you can do it... i was super noob.. took me a while to learn snaking too. I had to beat the story to even think of using my brain to learn snake. .. so story is possible on very hard without using mts(momentum turbo slide). takes a while tho. still haven't figured out MTS yet. the last unlockable track is a good training track to learn new skilz unless u have good memory.

I think one thing you can do to copy saves is load a F0GX save from a memory card, then switch memory cards and save again to the card you want to copy the save to. I haven't tried, but I don't see any reason for it not to work.

The final track is actually relatively easy (by F0GX standards...). You need to win the AX cup on Master. The tracks are super-wide, so you can focus on bumping off your closer rivals without losing too much time.

There's no official way to do it, but the GC/Wii homebrew app "GCMM" supports copying memory-card-locked saves to other cards.

Snaking is a technique where you abuse the physics of the game to make yourself go about 1-2X faster than you could at max speed.

it would seem as if luck is on your side, good sir. that's ok, i've been going through story on hard, and beat Deathborn on my first try. maybe not all that spectacular but hey, it worked. ... i wonder if i can beat it on very hard my first try... idk, i'm working on this f*ckin chapter right now and it's going to kill me. goodbye... cruel world.

I don't know why they designed this course, as if F-Zero somehow wasn't fatal enough and they really wanted to ratchet up the nonsense to make SURE someone was going home in a body bag.

WHAT!? THERE'S A LAST UNLOCKABLE TRACK!?!?!? fuck me... i JUST got magic seagull, QQQ, goro's kid and the egyptian chick... i think i'm good for now. i'll save the game to my memory card and play it in the years to come. the game is hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhard!!!!!

yeah....... so it turns out you can't copy f-zero saves to another memory card. so, later on down the road, i'll remember all the hard work i put into it, play it again and deal with the shit... it'll be fun. i'm done with the game for now. not only that but i can't play it anyways (no gamecube atm)

i've tried everything dude, it is literally impossibre. the only thing one can do is copy vehicles to another memory card using the garage. otherwise, it's still the most impossible thing i've ever seen, ever.
