I feel like what this machine rewards more than anything is strong fundamentals. It can be used for any style of play but will excel in none of them, which is interesting to say the least. One thing's for certain though, whoever wins with a Blue Falcon is either very skilled, very lucky, or both.

Getting the F-Zero 99 first place color reward with the Blue Falcon was a pain, and somehow I pulled it off in Mute City III of all places xd.

blue falcon is underrated imo. People kinda crap on it for being a sort of jack of all trades master of none but in a way thats to its benefit since the vehicle itself has a lot of versatility in the way it can be used. Every vehicle in this game is perfectly viable.

People really underestimate having a great recovery (2nd best) + good handling (2nd best) and okay Acceleration (2nd best too). In practice mode yeah it won't beat Golden Fox neither the Fire Stingray, but for the more technical tracks, alongside Bumpers + other players messing around all of these qualities makes it an actually powerful machine. For some days I really thought it was the best for Fire Field xD, since you need to use like everything there, while all of the other 3 vehicles lack in some areas, the Blue Falcon had the Acceleration, the Recovery and the Handling one needed to do fine there. In the end I think the Stingray still is the best one on Fire Field but my analysis wasn't too wrong right!?. (As much as I'm not THAT good like some people, I like it's design more than the other vehicles and Blue is my favorite color, I'm still a Golden Fox main 🗿🏆).

One thing I haven't seen talked about at all is the comeback potential of the Falcon. The Wild Goose might have the strongest brawling ability but the Falcon can fight and maintain a lead with good boosts and really solid recovery. This lets it stay higher up the pack than the goose and keep a lot more of its bar thanks to the higher recharge. Thus it can brawl at the front of the pack, get skyway, and potentially bully any overectended golden foxes or no-ko lap 3 Gooses into handing it a free boost meter. Effectively it is pretty good at maintaining a solid upper position no matter what happens if you're playing well, keeping its energy up without over boosting early on, and making for that last minute push for the end. With this, it can also front run (golden fox strat) or mid brawl (wild goose strat) if it needs to. You need to be good at both strategies and have all of the fundaments down to get the best of the Falcon knowing when to switch strategies where the Fox and the Goose have one or the other to focus on. It utilizes every aspect of the game. I think it is a really good machine but, while easy to start with, the hardest to master since you can't just stick with one all or nothing strategy but switch back and forth. Thus the idea it sucks. Of course this could all just be me coping because I love Captain Falcon and will never betray him.

The best part about the falcon is that it looks the most like a ship, i still love the diversity in the machine designs but i still think the wild goose looks like a roomba

Goose was designed as a combat vehicle, hence why it has the highest durability, and the round design serves as a sort of armor for Pico.

Most top players arent using Falcon or Stingray, when I do see them I salute them but the over abundance of Goose Players smothered the ranks lol

No matter everybody says, Blue falcon is the best, I have been Blue falcon fan, from SNES until now. And won't change in F-zero 99

As someone who desires balence, I main Blue Falcon. It's a lot of fun to drive and well-trained drivers can keep with the top players who abuse Fox and Goose Still waiting for my 1st win, though...

I played fox my whole time on this game and just tried falcon for 1-2 hours it’s definitely an underpowered, something feels off with this machine. 88 1st wins with fox but I can’t even win with blue falcon. Mini Prix I had 3 KOs stacked in my boost and ran an almost perfect game on Death Wind 2, and a fox still out ran me

are you saying it excels in skyway over stingray because it's max speed is slower so it'll lag in the pack and get the sparks easier? the falcon is the last machine i am trying to master and it's very confusing on how to use it's abilities to the fullest

That does assume said Fire Stingray and Blue Falcon are playing at high levels. Most of the time, since Blue Falcon may be behind other racers, it stands to reason that it'll get more Super Sparks. A strong Fire Stingray, if it has a clean run is going to be ahead of Blue Falcon, and unless there's a Fox ahead of it, has less chances of getting the same number of Sparks that Blue Falcon could potentially have. Plus, Blue Falcon has somewhat sharper turning, and on some Skyways, that's huge for potential extensions.

how does the falcon have sharper turning if it has the 3rd best grip out of the 4 machines? i am indeed playing in stacked lobbies, lvl99 s20 rank, so at end game, and my falcon has the worst placement right now@@CR-Nova

@@zentember If you tap Brakes and then turn, I'd say it can feel very sharp if done right. At least that's when I use Blue Falcon.

When it comes to F-zero, the blue Falcon is a legendary machine with the most balanced stats and the best performance of any of the other machines from the original F-Zero 🔵🟦💙

Most balanced? Yes. Best performance out of any of the original four? Hell no. In the original SNES game, the Fire Stingray massively outclassed the other machines via its high top speed, strong grip and the fact that the game used the old one-boost-per-lap system. The Fire Stingray holds every track world record in the original SNES F-Zero with no signs of any of the other machines catching up. The advantage the Blue Falcon has in the original game is that it's the most forgiving. Its quick, if somewhat loose cornering and good acceleration combined with a respectable top speed makes it a good choice for beginners, and while it's not the most durable machine it does have a decent amount of health AND recovery. This also makes it the second best machine for just beating the game, again right behind the Fire Stingray.
