I decided to try out the SNES F-ZERO soundfont & make a track of my own, given the amount of hype and excitement F-ZERO: 99 has brought after many hours of playing it.
Hopefully you will like it!

Thanks! I think F-ZERO: 99 is what we've needed to reinforce the true fanbase together whilst introducing newcomers to the series. That way if Nintendo develops a brand new F-ZERO, they'll have one hell of a community to share it with.

As this is a first, I kept the vibes similar to Mute City / Big Blue, that kind of "new game, first level" feel to it. Then if I do some more (which could be likely) I'll then delve into heavier / darker vibes akin to X / GX.

I'm glad F-Zero 99 was released to re-expose this classic gem of a game. I feel like most have forgotten about the original SNES game's music, but everybody is slowly rediscovering the charm of this techno-jazz OST!

I just discovered a bunch of fanmade F zero music, original and remixes, trying to find the soundtrack to the BS GP, and I'm absolutely stunned at the quality on display from you and other creators. Many remix channels will get comments such as "this guy should work for nintendo!" and often even if I like the remix I still wouldn't think it would work for the original game; this is the first time I've truly felt that way, the custom music on display is so good!! I love your GX remixes too, though I haven't played the more modern games so I'm not as familiar with the OST.

I'm glad you liked this one! It's almost like another Mute City with the main synth brass melody. I think the guitar synth bridge worked well to keep up the vibe. GX OST is very electronic with a lot of heavy guitars (it can vary and lean on either side). You'll like them I'm sure of it.

@@RemixRave I think with this song it reminds me of Super Mario Kart's battle theme, so it seems quite natural in my head. For years I loved the original snes ost and it's taken a while for the newer style to grow on me since it's so different. Shotgun Kiss and Infinite Blue are some of the newer songs that I do really like. Btw, what software do you use to make these? Is it different to what you use for your DSX remixes?

@@Tracequaza Main software is FLStudio. I'll use DirectWave to load all the soundfonts. GuitarRig amongst others for effects and Ozone iZotope for mixing/mastering, as well FL's built-in mixing features. Similar set up with all X / SNES style tracks.

This sounds great! Truly sounds like an official track ost, while being a completely new song. I don't know if you still take song recommendations from comments, but I would love to hear a remix of F-zero GP Legend's staff roll for two reasons. One is that the game is going to have its 20th anniversary next month and two is that NOBODY has remixed it yet, and it would be great to listen to the song without the GBA sound limitations.

I look at requests, I just can't guarantee commitment anymore the way I used to 5 years ago or so, so my uploads can be very random; depends on what's on mind or what's motivating me. I will have a look at it. I thought it was one of the other tracks, which sounded more lively (maybe that was Climax 's credits theme?).

The prequel to F-Zero GX's Chapter 4, except instead of 29 Wild Boars, it's 99 Turbo Snails you need to avoid rather than kill... Wait, that's a nice idea ! Can't wait to hear more of the SNES F-Zero soundfont ! And I recall seeing somebody named RemixRave in FZ99 at one point. Was it you ? :o
