How did you get the 3PS view on Dreamcast? Is it an edited GDI?

To set this camera, you need PAL version of the game. Put codebreaker or gameshark disc, then enter codes, then put game disc. Codes you can find on dc-swat forum > games > Dreamcast Widescreen Hacks.

I'm a big Sega arcade racer fan and this was one of there best, and probably was literally their best arcade port of any of their 3D racers but to be fair, the Saturn was never going to be able replicate the Model 2 but they still did a Stella job with Sega Rally! Anyway, back in the day, i actually had a 3rd place time on the F355 online world rankings on Motegi, and a 10th place on Suzuka Short👍

People throw ahead of its time around so easily. It ran on Dreamcast hardware, very of its time.

Only "ahead of its time" if you never saw what PC's, especially those with Voodoo Cards could do at this time. They made the Dreamcast look like yet another outdated toy box. The heavy aliasing combined with the ultra low resolutioon on the consoles back then was pure eye cancer.

@@johnm3907 also, most PC games didn't look half as good as people make out. Yes the lept ahead of consoles from time to time but console also did the same. Nothing on PC could touch Gran Turismo 3 when it came out.

I played the time laps online on dreamcast with a steering wheel on a pc monitor. It is still the one to beat for realism. And the sky looks great.

Dreamcast video output holds up sooo good on modern TVs for such old hardware. Especially VGA output, but even non-VGA games with SCART or component look great. PS2 on the other hand? Just so-so on real hardware. The gap closes if you have a really badass upscaler like a Retrotink 5X Pro or better, but even then the DC's output is better, crisper, cleaner! Those who use original hardware understand. 🤌🏼

Indeed, Dreamcasts VGA is better than component of PS2, GC and even xbox. It took Sony 2 iterations to beat the Dreamcast, the PS3 Why not play this game in 16:9. There's a patch for 16:9 through VGA!

Yes, it was most advanced Arcade - game ever created, running on 3 Naomi -systems at once. One for each screen. That's like 3*Dreamcast horsepower for one game!

Will the Dreamcast version do the three screen wrap around like Gran Turismo 3 and a Gran Turismo 4 on ps2? The main menu here shows that there was some sort of network play so can that be extended to utilize two consoles for additional viewing angles or did the software released for Dreamcast not support it?

@@That_Handle With the link cable it sure could be possible, if game supports the feature like arcade version did. But there is a patch for 3th person widescreen available, so you don't need to own 3 consoles to achieve similar results at home.

It's a pre modded version of the game. Run it through a good android or pc emulator like Redream

Dreamcast SMASHED early playstation 2. The gaming press was a big part of the downfall. I'm a nerd ( a jacked one though bruv) and buy old gaming mags for nostalgia. Edge etc were calling for it's failure before it was even released. This started the narrative.

I liked Sony, but I could never dig the way they gave ultimatums in Japan for stores who sold Xbox systems/games to not get PlayStation 2 stock. Imagine if anyone else had done that. They could only do such things because the first was so successful.

Sega would had done two things with Ferrari: 1. Release the retail version with this 3rd person camera. 2. Also use this engine to create an F1 game...This would had stomped any DC F1 game and any of the first gen F1 PS2 game, and part of second gen.

The Ferrari f355 on Forza horizon 5 sounds like garbage in this game it sounds like the real thing the same with outrun cost to coast on PSP I'm never playing a nother Forza game again because Microsoft uses the same engine sounds for most of the car collection.

Anybody, on the history of the planet Earth, managed to won A SINGLE race in this game? For me is a completely joyless experience, full of annoying auto-pilot things. Test Drive Le mans/Le mans 24 hours is way, WAAAAYYY better game and experience.

Racing games just don’t age very well, do they? There’s always a newer, better one. Certainly when it comes to 20+ year old racing games. There’s no reason to play this instead of the latest GT/Forza/Ridge Racer.

Not necessarily, for the arcades for example, Outrun 2 is still a blast. SEGA Rally Championship is still great too (I play the PC CD version which is a PC port of the Saturn version) Ridge Racer's latest outings pale in comparison to the earlier ones on PlayStation, N64 and beyond. (we don't acknowledge the Android, iOS Skinwalker Editions at all). In the end it comes down to preference, and I respect yours. However I'd also recommend Outrun 2 on Xbox, or Outrun 2 Coast to Coast on PC if you can find them, they could probably convey my point better than I ever could.

Ooh yes there is. Racers since forza have added so many screens,options and distractions that you sometimes long to the good old days where you could just start and race instead of thinkering with everything like an rpg.

Ферарри гавно они не вошли даже в топ 10 самых быстрых машин. Канструктор ферарри обосрал Ламборджини конструктора тракторов и Ламборджини пошел делать скоростные машины. Ферарри это маркетинги больше ни чего. Цитата В линейке гиперкаров есть модель Daytona SP3 с той же максималкой, но менее динамичным ускорением. Иначе говоря, Ferrari держит лидерство по динамике ускорения, а Lamborghini по скорости.

Ha, you really think that? Considering the only polygonal games the SNES could do looked like Star Fox, I'm thinking you really don't and are simply rustling jimmies. SNES was great. But not at doing 3d games.
