F650 Voltage Regulator Problem

Жыл бұрынThe F650 suffers from voltage regulator problems due to the heat produced under the seat. It’s not the best place for it so relocation is advised. Here I show you how to recognise the problem, temporarily overcome it to get you home and how it should sound once you’ve changed it. It’s an easy job so go for it if you have to.

Relocate the VR next to the air intake . Problem solved.

You said no lights running this time. Before you changed it, did it run with lights on but cut out when the lights off? That's what's happening on mine.

Yes, if you have a faulty voltage regulator it puts too much voltage into the system. By turning the lights on it lowers the voltage and the bike runs ok. As soon as you turn off the lights it will not run properly. There is another video of mine showing this.
