Check out what happened last Friday in Munich, right down the street from P1 #prinzregentenstrasse - where it all began. The goal was to celebrate @elanbenali & @tijan.njie for their achievements with the best new actor awards at the #bayerisherfilmpreis but they didn’t see this one coming…

Fab has alot of talent. Rob as well. I still mourn Rob. Never knew him but the whole fiasco could have been turned around in their favor. Their dance routine was second to none. They really had the moves. I could imagine the German chicks throwing themselves at them. It was a brief moment in time when they were on the top of the world. It was such a shame when the media got hold of the story an showed Nooo mercy. R.I.P. Rob and best of luck to you Fab. If you ever perform in N.Y.C. I'll be there. You still have many fans, myself included.. Ciao Rob

Agree with everything except the grammy.Grammys are for singers who are nominated for their records. They weren't the singers at all on the record that was nominated so they dont deserve the Grammy....it was rightfully taken away from them. However,it should have been given to the actual singers..They were the ones who deserved it. As far as Rob and Fab, they were great dancers but not really great singers at the time. And obviously good looking They could barely speak English and had heavy accents at the time ,which also was a hindrance.. BUT Fab has improved immensely by practicing and hard work. He is a pretty decent singer. Who knows if Rob would have been? And its disgusting that more wasn't done to Frank Farian.,who not only wronged Rob and Fab,but also all the singers too.

@@thaismatsumoto Exactly! The grammy belongs to the whole team. Rob & Fab did an incredible job performing those tracks but a Grammy Award is given for an artist's work on the music or album, not for the visual performance. In the case of Rob & Fab they didn't contribute in the making of this songs, they weren't in the studio which is why the Grammy was revoked and won't be returned. Even if they returned it, it should be to the real singers obviously because they sang all this great tracks that comprised the iconic sound of Milli Vanilli. :)

@@miguelmusicajw i think the gramm belongs to all of them. I think Milli Vanilli was a full package: Visual (The Dancing, the Look etc) and the acoustic (voice, song writing etc.) The Grammy belongs to all of them. I think the press behaved like a bunch of assholes when they lynched them at the press conference. This press conference was a shame. I hope all of them feel guilty about that and regret that.

Well that is the thing, before they were Milli Vanilli, they were already singing and even recording. Frank Fahrian wanted the American market and thought these two had very thick European accent to sing a US RNB song. But yeah, he should have made them sing

Grammys don't work like that, Grammys are given for the original singers of their own tracks so the real singers should've kept it. As much as Rob & Fab were incredible on stage, Grammy Awards aren't based on that. You get a Grammy for the music that you sang on, not for how good you lip-synced to it on stage which is why their Grammy was revoked 34 years ago.

The original singers said that they had been singing for 30 years and never hit, but put song young nice looking faces on the voices and then millions of people are suddenly loving your voice. That's why singers from long ago lasted decades and had better songs because it was based on talent not looks. We will never have Stevie Wonders, Ray Charles or even Tina Turner or Celia Cruz anymore because you have to look like Milli Vanilli and Beyonce to get a record deal.

@@jasonito23 Absolutely. Back in the day singers would get appreciated by their talent but now it's just like you said, looks over everything and many untalented artists getting to the top. But decades ago it wasn't like that which is why we can't justify that MV deserved that Grammy just because of how the music industry works now, because it worked differently back then and it was about good music and good singers getting awards for their work and talent, which is something that has changed through the years because the music industry changed but back in 1990 it was like it was and that's why their Grammy was revoked.

But millions loved Milli Vanilli and once their faces were removed people stopped listening. They are a direct representation of what the music industry was then and now. Miley Cyrus just won a Grammy....lol...I think Milli Vanilli were more entertaining. They earned that award.

@@jasonito23 People stopped listening because of the whole scandal that emerged, of course things wouldn't be the same because the name Milli Vanilli was negatively stained and if everybody was ok with it, Milli Vanilli wouldn't have been so crucified as they were for lip-synching and taking credit for other people's work and vocals. There were fans suing them demanding refunds and even destroying and burning their records. As much as Rob & Fab were incredible on stage, the award was earned by the music itself because if the music was bad with bad vocals it would've never been huge regardless of how good Rob & Fab were on stage.

Let's be realistic here. As much as I love Fab, that wasn't "his award" because he and Rob didn't originally sing any of the Milli Vanilli songs which is the reason why the Grammy was fairly revoked and won't be returned 34 years later. A Grammy is not given for the visual performance, it's given for those who actually sing their music and are involved in its making, which wasn't the case of Milli Vanilli. The Grammy should've gone to the real singers because they are the voices that can be heard on this tracks because as I said it's for the music, not for the visual stage performance. If the Grammy was given for their energetic performances and dance skills it definitely would've stayed with them but that's not how Grammys work. It was given for an album that they didn't sing so it's more than comprehensible that they didn't keep it.

Then they put Milli Vanilli faces on the voices, and all of the sudden everyone is listening and selling millions. So actually, the modeling that Rob and Fab were doing was more effective than the singing. The original singers singing this wouldn't have sold any copies let alone a Grammy.

It was the good reception of the song that made the producer hire Rob & Fab to promote the track and eventually become the faces attached to the project but if the song flopped at first, Milli Vanilli would've never happened. The hit was already there shortly before Rob & Fab joined which also helped for the continuous success of the project, along with the image of Rob & Fab of course.

I just finished watching the documentary video about Milli Vanilli and I got to say it is such a tragic story. Your producer should be ashamed. It is so sad what happened to Robert; if he had just held on a little longer, he would be on stage singing right beside Fabrice. RIP Robert Pilatus, I hope you are at peace🕊️. I am so so happy for Fabrice, you crawled out of the dark and found the REAL light and made a name for yourself. The real scandal are the fans. The original singer said that he'd been singing for 30 years and no one really listened. Then they put Milli Vanilli faces to the voices and all of the sudden millions of people were fans and buying the music. So....who's at fault? Rob and Fab were models and they modeled while the singers were singing.

How great is Milli Vanilli and, especially, Fab Morvan! His story shows us that human beings have the ability to learn and improve throughout our lives. His music, full of energy and rhythm, continues to be a pleasure to my ears. saw You and Rob in concert in the early 1990's doing the Samurai act,..... in Little Rock Arkansas,.... so sad about Rob,.... but love that You are still out there and rockin the stage!!!!!!!!!!!!!
