My son has the Fabarm Elos Allsport Compact with the QRR system. The case is much nicer than the one shown here. I think the Fabarm Elos N2 or Allsport are a much better buy than the USA Browning 725 Pro Sporting that cost me $3500. I can tell you that the Browning is ported and weighs 8lbs 6oz while the Fabarm is 7lbs 12oz and yet has much less perceived recoil and patterns better too!!! I think the Fabarm Tri-bore barrels and chokes are way better than most other in many price ranges. Also I think the Tri-Wood is very durable and looks good. After shooting both the N2 and the Allsport I would recommend these over almost any new entry OU out there today. FYI, I payed $2475 for the N2 and $2795 for the Allsport from Grey’s and he fit both guns for us, plus 5 yr warranty, and excellent CS. I know what some people might say about higher resale of the B-Guns vs the Fabarm, but don’t buy these for resale, buy them for Shooting, you’ll be surprised!!!

You missed the part where the Browning 725 Pro has actual real wood and is not a chippy mixed coating. I'm not sure why you would even want a lighter sporting shotgun in 12 gauge but the Browning comes balanced with a weight set. The Guerini Summit is probably a better deal in this price point. Or the Beretta 694.

Spot on Mr tech, i have a fabarm Elos Allsport and i personally cannot fault it, what a package! I whole heartily agree with your comments on buying a gun to use and sod the resale value. If one puts the resale value before the using and enjoying shooting the gun they've admitted it's the wrong choice in the first place, what ever gun it is. Use it and enjoy it.

Thank you for the video!! It has been hard to find this type of review on the women’s guns, and I’m trying to find review videos to help with my decision process for a new gun. I’m very excited that there are finally guns being made designed to fit women shooters that aren’t a the “make a youth gun pink” nonsense route. I really enjoyed this! Could you please do one on the Franchi Catalyst guns? Thanks!

I'd tolerate the wood-to-metal fit and even slight trigger creep for the superior metallurgy and coil springs. Good review! Sadly, I already have too many guns.

Johnny, you say that the stock of this Fabarm is not "real wood". In fact it is real wood! It is Turkish Walnut which is inked then lacquered. That's why it is called "Tri Wood". It is a finish and not a synthetic substitute as you imply. All Fabarms in the N2 line are Turkish walnut. I suggest you watch and excellent review by Randy Wakeman who knows more about Fabarm than most people!

Have you ever come across the kinetik recoil reducer? It's about 180g and balances my gun with 32" barrels but might work well for others also

Johnny, There is a trigger take up screw just behind the trigger that will take out your sponginess. I have done this to my Man version. Love this gun for skeet with 32” barrels and the 180g kinetic weight. Thanks for the review and don’t forget to wash your hands...

Kostis, Remove the stock, drive out the two pins that hold the trigger guard in place. This will give you access to the small trigger take up screw just behind the trigger. Make small adjustments and try it.

Jonny, thanks for the review. Here in the US, the N2 Allsport XL is now available. Does the grip fit change with the longer length of pull(ie, sculpted for larger hands?) However, price wise it is way more than 686 and even a few hundred dollars more than the 690 and a few hundred less than the 692.
@nmhvactech5474
@nmhvactech5474 4 жыл бұрын
My Elos N2 does have a much larger palm swell than my sons Allsport compact, but the XL does have the larger palm swell and pistol grip. The trigger shoe is adjustable for length. I would most definitely take the Fabarm over a 686 SP Sporting as they still feel dainty and you get more for your money than most entry guns. You really need to pick one up and shoot it side by side and you’ll feel the difference. Call CG USA and get the number to the Rep in your area to try a demo. I shoot the Elos N2 SxS with several other guns and liked it more than the others, but I was talked into a Browning 725 by some of the more “experienced” shooters. I’ve regretted that decision, but eventually bought my son the Allsport for youth shooting sports. After shooting his I had to get the Elos N2 for my self, but I can tell you the Allsport is the better deal for an all around gun.

Fore end tension is a cam screw adjustable not different size parts. The trigger is a Torx not Allen key.

Jonny, be honest. The Trigger is SPONGY. I'll also say that I am not a fan of painted stock sets. A plain and REPAIRABLE oil finished Walnut would be much better than this cartoon finish. BTW, low cost doesn't really require a poor quality trigger. I have 3 CZ USA (Huglu Turkey) shotguns, Browning BPS, Remington 870, Browning 325, and two 686 Silver Pigeons (12 & 20) and NONE of them have Spongy Triggers. I will grant that the trigger on my CZ O/U is a bit on the heavy side at 6.5 lbs but it is a nice crisp trigger. A poor quality trigger is NOT a result of building a low cost shotgun, it's a result of a poorly designed trigger. To sum it up I find this particular Fabarms disappointing. Instead of copying the trigger on a Mosin Nagant they should have copied the trigger on a Turkish shotgun.
@nmhvactech5474

While shooting them I’ve never notice the triggers being so “Spongy”, just a little creep when dry firing. In actual shooting I don’t seem to be bothered by it.
