Great review 👍 I 100% agree with you about your thoughts of the good and bad about this plasma. I do like having a reg/ gauge on the front, Yeswelder seems to not protect the hoses at the machine’s connections very well, but with just a few changes and it would improve a lot. For the price and compactness it’s a good machine. Sometimes I set the amps to full power and just increase the cut speed like you did, but a lot of times I tend to back the amps down a bit and adjust speeds to match. Say maybe 50Amps for the 3/8” plate, this will definitely increase you cutting time without have an issue with the duty cycle. All and all it’s hard to beat the cut quality and consumables cost for the total overall cost of this machine 👍 Thanks for the review!

Yeah it seems to be a pretty good machine sofar, time will tell. I do plan to cut the amps back for sure when im cutting bigger or thinner more complicated parts because re- running the program with the torch off then turning it on to cut the stuff it missed because of over heat sux..lol I have alot more playing with it and writing down "feeds and speeds" so there is less guess work down the road. I never had to worry about hitting the duty cycle with my miller so it was always max and just adjust my speed..lol Thanks for watching and commenting man!

Thanks! Hopefully it wasnt too long and "draggy" of a video. I cut a bunch out to try and condense it more. Thanks for watching and commenting!

At 45 amps it’s got a 100% duty cycle at 65 A. It’ll cut for six minutes before it goes to overload.

As another one mentioned licensee, I need a video on this product like to know or see your compressor. I’ve had mine for two months now I have not had any time to use it yet. Never used one before. Thank you for all your information and contact.😎😜🇨🇦🤟🧐👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@FabbinAdventures
@FabbinAdventures 3 ай бұрын
Not sure what you mean by licensee, my compressor is just a 5 hp upright 80 gallon tank. If you plan on constant cutting you need a compressor that will keep up, the less they run, the cooler they stay and the less condensation you are likely to introduce into the system.

Awesome, glad the review was helpful for you. Im still impressed with it even though the line/hose going to the torch feels pretty light duty. I just got a different plasma in to review, though its not compatable with cnc. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@FabbinAdventures I can confirm the little hoses for the torch are sturdier than they look. While cutting last night I was outside of my shop and the plasma unit was behind me on the ground. I was cutting a 5" c-channel when it slid off the stand and landed DIRECTLY on the torch output on the front of the unit. I broke the plastic cover on the nut, bent the panel where the hookup is, and smashed the crimp for the plastic line. It still works flawlessly. Im a little upset I was so careless with the material but this unit took quite the hit and still cranks!

i bought a yeswelder 65ds 2 months ago i just got the archdroid to cut parts i wish i saw your video several weeks ago. i took the yes welder apart and spliced in a connector for the archdroid in the back of the cut 65 to run the torch my thought was i could use the torch and not have to plug and unplug connectors if i wanted to hand cut and not turn on the archdroid. now before i turn all this on do you think i can leave both the torch and archdroid plugged in while using the archdroid . and was it critical for the wire in connectors to be pinned correctly .just wanted to be sure before i fired up both machines and burn something up. i believe i wired it correctly.. thanks for the video
@FabbinAdventures
@FabbinAdventures 3 ай бұрын
Thats a good question whether leaving both plugged in and hand firing would cause trouble. I don't honestly know, but i can't really see it being a problem. The two wires have no positive or negative they just complete the circut the way i understand it. Even when i wired my old miller there were just 2 identical purple wires i tapped into. The miller help line tech told me it just completes the circut. Hope that helps.

@oldcountry220 thanks! Well i need to see if it is gonna do what i want it too. It does seem pretty good sofar, i'll put it to the test next weekend when i start building accessories for my mini excavator. Hopefully the 60% duty cycle isnt gonna be a problem. Id say it ran for around 6 min at 65 amp before it cut out. I kinda wasnt expecting it or i woulda been timing it..lol Keep watching because im gonna keep testing this thing. Did you see the new version on Amazon? I just bought one and then this new one shows up. Should I send it back? Didn’t even unbox it yet. Looks like it has nicer readouts and controls. Also the regulator is built in.

I just got an e-mail from them notifying me of the new one, they said they will get me a code for 10% off to update my link in the description. I dont see the new version on amazon.ca must be .com only sofar or directly from their web site. I cant tell you what to do but I would definitely want the newer version, wish they would have sent me that new version to review. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I just went to amazon.com and checked it out, the display looks great, the regulator is still on the back with a hose that looks like you still have to attach which is a bummer, but the psi read out is up front...nice!

Let bed your review! I am trying to figure out which way to wire up the CNC plug. Do you know which pin needs to be positive?
@FabbinAdventures
@FabbinAdventures 3 ай бұрын
There is no positive or negative. So doesnt matter how you wire it. Basically when you pull the trigger it just completes the circut. Same thing with the cnc, it will complete the circut between the two wires and fire the torch.

Not sure what you mean by pencil torch, but if you mean a machine torch, if you can find one, it would use it. I found a guy on ebay that makes a housing to convert the torch the cut 65 come with to a machine torch. I have it, but havent installed it yet.
