Dan and FabFilter have not only made the most high quality videos on music production I've ever seen, but ALSO a clear and EDUCATIONAL explanation on HOW loudness works, why it is the way it is, AND how to use it effectively. This is the kind of content that is SORELY missing from KZfaq, where half-researched and semi-educated guess-like content regarding music, mixing, and mastering has flooded the platform. This is the kind of content I'd PAY for. Having done my own research on these topics to better understand my music and my faders, I can say that there is NO better summary of this on the internet, and that even after having done my research this taught me things I STILL didn't know or realize. Incredible work FabFilter and Dan. I LOVE this content and EVERY producer should know and practice these concepts if they want to have any hope of perfecting their craft. I cannot thank you enough for providing this for FREE.

that "horrible distortion" you mention at 60'' was my first and best distortion I ever had. Passed my guitar through the tape rack with 'pause' and 'rec' buttons pressed, rec level at max and after that straight to my father's "clear sound" amp (which had a spring reverb also). I was 11 and rocking the whole northern side of the city playing "purple haze" and enormously crazy feedbacks and screams for many hours a day... Nice video! Waiting for part 2..
