Fabricating a Hydraulic Rod Clevis Part 6

In this final video of the clevis build, I'll finish out the machine work. We use the big milling vise with swivel base to cut the 45* angle on each side. We also drill and tap for a grease zerk and press the bearing in.
I hope you enjoyed following along with this build. 👍
Adam

Always hated flood coolant but it is a necessary evil in machine work. Gotta keep them cutters cool and them chips flowing. Really enjoyed the series. Was doing a complicated set up at work a few days ago and thought back to some of your videos and thought "how would Adam do it" and came up with a solution. I hope you realize how much good you do with these videos. Just no nonsense old school machine work. Keep em coming. JHolland Cochran Ga

Abom>CNC. A CNC machine is amusing to watch, but watching you machine a piece is way more satisfying. And you definitely make it an art. I'm a fairly new subscriber so working up through your videos has been a pleasure, but this series has been a lot of fun. And you make a great teacher. You always explain what your doing with excellent clarity. You provide an invaluable resource with your videos. I love to always find new things to learn and the industrial arts community on KZfaq rocks. :)

I enjoy every video. Along with common sense, the knowledge you possess is amazing. Tools, speed, centering and materials keep the viewer here. You produce works of art. You can have the best machinist, but if they don't pay full attention and check everything, they're bound to ruin stock and be a safety hazard.

I had a semester of machine shop training in my late teens. I had a year long side job working as a tool grinder in a machine shop when first on the Fire Department. How do you price your work out to the customer? What does some of these complicated pieces cost? I'm now 75 and still love this stuff and watch your videos every evening before bed time. Sometime that can be around 1:00 AM. Your are an awesome craftsman young man. Be well and God bless.
