Shaping and lamination of a profiled (modified Nike Smoke X-section) composite fin using G10, carbon fiber weave, aerospace grade foam (Last-A-Foam), and fiberglass cloth, designed to go beyond Mach 1. Lamination is easily performed using a FoodSaver and bags, yes you heard right. With consumer (and commercial grade) vacuum appliances available as wide a 15” large fins can be accommodated. And when you are finished using it in the shop you can return it to the kitchen, just like that digital scale you borrowed. 😉
