Interesting to see how in the beginning he was focused on making the product better for its core users and wasn't interested in dominating the world. Nowadays, with the Metaverse his strategy seems to be the exact opposite of what made the company successful in the first place.
@alandeutsch9987 Жыл бұрын
Yea, he got too ambitious and lost sight of the core mission which really is valuable - making *in-person* human connection easier. The in-person is key because while VR might make people more connected in general, it takes away from in-person connection, which really nothing can replace.
@skahler7 ай бұрын
Honestly I think what happened was that when he opened the company to investors, the need to scale and make money for them grew very quickly. The pressure to create money from something "good" is what caused all these problems to happen, and I think it's what caused his corruption. I think it's what causes corruption in *all* of these SF tech startups... Facebook, Twitter, all these companies. These companies all struggled to meet their investment cap with matching growth, yet the flood of investors was extremely high and probably impossible to turn down people handing you free cash... ("free")

For that reason they are interested in making people happy not the politics and money of it, unfortunately this is also why he is always in trouble, the successful and passionate ones are the one who find loopholes in rules that haven’t been thought of yet therefore making the mistake or loophole per say obvious to people who should have thought of the rule which is what makes them angry and come after him.

There's so much to impact from this video. Super intriguing as I'm always fascinated by how luck and chance plays a role in the success of certain companies. Zuck stating that "there's no need for more" clearly shows he didn't have billion dollar dreams. Insert the right people and he's top 3 richest person in the world. Incredible footage.
