@@RodSerling7 perhaps, if you watch shuffle and marlo vs zen and dialect there is a moment where this exact gesture plays out for real but in reverse, zen tries to frighten shuffle-t and he doesn't flinch or move at all, I contest it's because he feels genuinely dominant in the situation and isn't afraid, whereas in the clip here the opposite dynamic exists, JT's character knows he's a weasel deep down hence the reaction, I don't have a time stamp for the bit I refer to, but it's during shuffle and marlo's rounds, from memory it's when shuffle-t says "zennnnnnnnn".

The fact that Eduardo's mind so quickly goes back to Mark being jealous about the Phoenix Club and the article about the chicken tells you that he's been worried about Mark doing something like this for quite awhile. If you have a true friendship + business partnership with one person, you have to choose wisely. Both of you should be able to lift each other all the time, be honest, work as a real ally. I don't know about the reality, but in this movie Zuckerberg's tragedy was not simply ruining a friendship. The tragedy was that he lost the friendship the moment they started the business together. Zuckerberg was never able to maintain the friendship and lift each other as friends AND as business partners. He worked on his business and was unable to accept Saverin's moves or to integrate these moves with his own moves. That's how they ended up in different places, different business approaches and in a conflict where Zuckerberg chose to ignore Saverin and move him out of his business, ruining the friendship forever. In real life partnerships (including marriage and dual business leaderships) you should manage carefully such power balances to get the best out of both of you. Otherwise the whole thing will collapse.

Your brain isn't fully formed until you're about 25 to 27 years old. Its one of the reasons why "young person does something stupid" is such a common trope. Zuckerberg, to this day, is alienated. You never see him hanging out with people in public, at public events, posting online, being any form of extroverted. I don't know how much of the film is true, but it screams "smart introverted kid, who so very much wanted to be a popular extroverted kid". He's still an asshole. He gave $75M for a hospital, which was very public, making him look like a nice guy. He then gave half a billion dollars in political donations, which was supposed to be private.

4:05 You can tell Mark wasn't happy with the fact that Sean was mucking around with other coworkers such as Ashleigh. Seans fatal flaw was him not keeping business and personal affairs completely disconnected from each other. That becomes conflicts of interest and shakes the company. The one problem with this theory is that if Mark had gotten Sean arrested, he still would've sabotaged the momentum of growth for his own company, since the outcome would've been the exact same. He clearly knows this, as he explains to Sean multiple times over the phone. So why would he want to sink his own company? He wanted to get rid of Sean, and he had every reason to, but he knew this was not the way to do it. The reason I think a lot of people agree with this theory is because of the end scene, when Delpy brings it up to Mark as an example of how to taint a jury's perception of him with a single question. It's almost like our own perception has been tainted as well.

Define "benevolence" in this context. When you're the leader of a company, your first duty is to the company. If someone does a bad job, even if they're your friend or co-founder, you get them out. Keeping someone on-board when a startup has limited resources can end a company. And given the norm for an early stage startup is 80-100 hour workweeks, I would be PISSED if I was putting my health on the line like that, and some useless dork was a freeloader. A startup has a duty to their employees and investors to take their faith, sacrifices, and investment (through time, money, health, family, etc), and change lives with it.

something I noticed: Zuckerberg/Eisenberg is wearing an Arm & Hammer shirt. And the Winklevoss twins were played by Armie Hammer

I was on Facebook for a few years but got off it. I got sick of all the social craziness. Now I’m on Instagram which is a lot less crazy.

Bro are you mental? Instagram is part of Facebook and I can say to you that is becoming crazier and crazier with the world right now. The fact that influencers can get away with basically everything they do on the platform is mad. The reels of insta are incredibly pathetic, and they are a copy of what TikTok did (I don’t have because I think it’s stupid). You can find basically everything that’s wrong with our society in there and still see people cheer up to this shit. In the end Facebook or Instagram there’s no difference but the period they were on top. Facebook on its peak was way more normal than Instagram. In the end Zuckerberg was an inspiration for others to become worse than him

@@giorgioripamonti777 I know Instagram is part of Facebook. And the reels are crazy but I prefer Instagram. So mind your own business and go find some other social media. I don’t have time for your long winded opinions. Goodbye 👋

Instagram is a fucking photo gallery combined with the toxic discourse of facebook. it's "a lot less crazy" because there's nothing there.
