Oh I found what I was trying to talk about regarding model years and transfer case differences. The 1999-2000 Limited is the only one where you could get the factory Multi Mode (2WD + 4WD + AWD) AND the factory rear differential locker. The subsequent 2001-2002 Limiteds all had the factory Multi Mode transfer case, but no more rear differential locker. TLDR: If you want the absolute most drive options on your 3rd gen 4Runner, you get a 1999-2000 Limited. the toyota owners in Hawaii are SUUUPER delusional , HI FB Marketplace is full of owners selling their shitbox lifted tacomas and 4runners with a description that has “runs cherreh 🍒” with $25k that seen nothing off-road unless it’s sand 🤣 (i’m born and raised in Hawaii , these bitches are everywhere left and right ) . newer lifted tacoma’s go for $50k+ too lmfao .

It's peacocking and a desire to be different, even though you're doing the same idiotic mods every other ricer does to the platform. Ricers have an innate desire to stand out from the crowd And you can still be on, just be up at 4AM or whenever we're live in your country 😊
