Great info! If Facebook features worked properly then I know this would definitely help. Problem is, they keep adding and updating without fixing issues that need attention. I found some things I can tweak using your information when creating reels but they are posting my reels as a video post and not a reel to the public so I’m flagged for music and monitization is removed. Since they are not visible to viewers as a reel I don’t get credit for reels plays.

as I read comments below.. this seems a constant with most of us... being monetized and cannot use music, nor words asking for engagement.. so I guess my question is... what now?? You're giving tips and suggestions that we ALL wish we could use and do. so now that we cannot.. what are your suggestions bc we are ALL obviously looking for the same info!! FB has way too many rules and violations that are easily made by those of us with pages/for businesses... I don't know how many appear to be doing it.. unless they're like you, to where they're driving traffic elsewhere?? so sad! thanks!

Yeah, if anyone wants to use copyrighted music or CTAs in their Reels, they will need to direct traffic somewhere to be monetized. For me, that's the system that works very well, hence why I recommend it :)

Some of us are monetized via performance bonus and/or "ads on reels" or some variation. I believe asking for interaction is a violation of Facebook monetization partner policies. Yes, I use Facebook also to drive traffic/leads to businesses, but the Facebook direct monetization at this point is too good to pass up because in many cases it pays more than the traffic and for me helped bring back revenue to stale brands/niches.

Good point, Bob. The strategy really will depend on what end goal you're looking to achieve. For me, the Reels payouts are nowhere close to what can be earned by moving traffic elsewhere, but I know that might not be the case in other situations :)

another great set of tips! - i would love to use the call to action tip for my reels on my professional mode profile, but i am a little nervous as a few years ago my facebook page with over 12k follows got permanently blocked by facebook and they refused to even review my appeal - this was all because i was asking people to comment and share in order to receive a free gift! - i never got that page back and had to start from scratch which makes me so mad after spending thousands on paid promotions!

Thanks. I do most of these and still can't get views. I post in my own FB group of 7K people and only 1 or 2 people who have elected to see my content see it. It's super frustrating. Guessing you have to pay for your own followers to view your content. I have about 50 followers on TikTok and if I post a video there, I get 800 views. Hmmm?

The reach in a group is highly dependent on how the group has been nurtured. If the group is mostly inactive then Reels will get few views

Thank you for the info. Do you have a video that shows Reels REACH number? I did the reels, but when I checked it , the REACH did not show any number. It shows the dashed---- no number.

All good information BUT if Facebook just doesn't show your reels it is very frustrating. I have a business page and a non-business page, I can post the same video on both pages at the same time and I get Zero views on the business page and hundreds + of views on the non-business page. Both pages have similar names, the same niche. It is just you are at the Mercy of Meta Mafia.

Correct, FB typically doesn't show content from business pages because it wants pages to "boost" those posts.

It can help increase reach, but will remove any monetization potential. Just depends what your goal is

So, just today I discovered that people can get paid from FB reels 🤯 I didn't know. I've created a few but I did that just because my phone storage was screaming at me, and I didn't want to delete a few videos. It makes me smile when they pop up from time to time. Anyway, I'm a fairly private FB user and don't let just anyone in as a friend. Question: Do most people create a new FB account in order to put their reels out? I don’t want people creeping my personal FB.

It will only show as a Reel if: 1) Reels are turned on in your group settings 2) Your video is in portrait mode 3) Your video is shorter than 90 seconds Otherwise all vids will be "regular" posts :)
