Posting on a Facebook Business Page is a little different than a personal page, and in this video I'll show you Best Practices for posting.

This is great! But how do I make my written content look professional and keep it's font styles and links and calls to action? Do I make a separate page and save as a pdf, or use special software? Thank you this was very helpful. I have one question, maybe two. When I go to post from my iPhone on FB to my business page, I cannot access my photos unless I switch to interacting as myself. Then I notice once I post if show as me posting to my business page. Well, it seems it takes forever for my customers to find posts (which sucks because there are interactive posts at times). Is there a way to access photos on posts to business page from my phone? Also, I have a HP laptop & Apple devices like phone & tablet & mini tablet

Ok, so my scheduled posts are putting my picture at the bottom, but I really like how the post looks when I do it as a note and not as a regular posts. Am I doing something wrong?

My facebook business page doesnt look like this i dont have these options anymore ? I can`t add images anymore? Not sure when this changed but im pushed toward this Meta thing. I just changed back to classic mode to see if its the same as your showing but i still cant add images to my posts or see the publish button

Just like most things on Facebook, everything in search is dictated by the algorithm. So even if your event is public, it may not come up if there are other more popular events. Thanks for the great info on the video. I have done a word document and have it in one drive. I know i cannot post a document but cannot figure out how to get the info with the borders and the website link and the way it looks from my mac onto my facebook business page. What should i do? Hey Lauri! Facebook posts have very limited formatting options. You can obviously add an image or video, but you can't really change text. If you use a #hashtag on a word it shows up in blue - same thing if you tag a person or page - but you can't change fonts, add borders, use bold/italics, etc.

Thanks for the question El Mansajero TeV! Facebook won't let you do that because it would allow businesses to spam people. You can only comment as your business page on some business pages and in groups that belong to you. Hope that helps!

Jerry, great video and thanks for answering all the comments/questions in detail. I learned a lot from them, but did not find an answer to my question. I have a personal page in which I link my business page. I know how to directly post to each from my computer, and iPhone, but I’m having difficulty when I want to find a photo on the internet and post it to my business page directly for a new post. When I go to upload it and press the Facebook icon, it goes to my personal page wall. Is there an easy way to either get a photo/video I find on my iPhone to post to my business page directly or even move the photo/text (the completed post) while on my iPhone to my business page? I’m fairly new to Facebook and want to use it to boost my business via social media presence so look forward to investigating more of your KZfaq videos. Thanks again for the great content! Hey Michael! Not sure what tool/browser you are using to do your posting, but you might try using the Facebook Pages Manager app - it's designed specifically for Facebook Business Pages and might let you do what you want to. apps.apple.com/us/app/facebook-pages-manager/id514643583

I have problem here. I created a Fb business page but I have hard time to find the page to share my stuff. 1:01 on your video show straight the page you can post but how did you get there? On the private Fb page there is a "What is on your mind?" tab on the top right on the home page but where it is on the Business page? I can't even find it :(

Those are both default tabs that can't be turned off on Business Pages - Are you saying yours doesn't have them? Can you share a link?

Hi, can you add more than two options when posting a poll to a buisness page?

It doesn't appear so Ally. I think they removed that option when they allowed pages to put images and GIFs in their polls last year. An alternative option would be to test 2 variables at a time. So first you could run a poll saying, "A or B?" Then if A wins, you could run a poll asking, "A or C?" Or you can add to your question, "If you have a different answer than those listed, leave it in the comments!" That might muddy your results, but it also might get a bunch more engagement. Hope that helps!

Great video. Question: when people share my pages posts/pictures, I only sometimes get the drop box option to change what page I like/comment as. Most of the time I go to my shares and it only let's me respond as my personal page...how do I fix this? I have tried from fb app, page manager app, and chrome on my phone.

This is one of those things that Facebook seems to tinker with. You can comment on other business pages with your business page. You can only comment in a group as your business page if it is your group that is linked to your page. Does that make sense?

I have the same question. The marketing platform we use told us that option is not available. I find it hard to believe that we cannot post to a group or another's Page as our business (Paqe). I have not found a way.

You can only post in a group as your business page if the group belongs to your page. Facebook doesn't want to allow businesses to go around spamming groups.

Hello there, Thanks for that education.. one of things I wanted to ask you is how to embed a link to a picture or a video so when someone clicks anywhere on that picture or video it will directly take them to that link . or is it the same as adding a link and adding a button at the bottom of the post. There is no way to have someone click on a video and go to an external link - you need to share the link in the text/caption area.

It does and it doesn't. There are certain sites that will always get demoted in the algorithm (like KZfaq), but most sites are fine. That being said, Facebook doesn't want you sending people OFF of Facebook, so links in general don't perform as well as they once did.

I have a Facebook Posting question. I have Personal Page and a Managed Page I use for the News. I could post to another page for either my Personal Page or Managed Page with the posting pull down arrow. Now I can only post for the Personal Page, the pull down arrow no longer works for the Managed Page, the message for the Managed page now appears ‘Your Page (Only Visible to You)’. Does Facebook only want Post from known people and not from Managed Unknown News Pages. Is there a Fix.

Have you tried posting multiple places? Generally the accounts you see when you click the down arrow are determined by the type and settings of the page you're trying to post on.

Generally it is Facebook Patch Pages. Patch is a community news paper. I think they do not want a post with no personal name.

Great question! From all I've seen that isn't possible yet. You can share a post from your page on your personal profile's story, but it isn't set up like Instagram where you can share a post to a business profile's story.

Hey Carlvic! Unfortunately that isn't possible. I think the reason is Facebook doesn't want someone to rank up 1,000 likes with a photo of puppies, then change it to something else, misleading those who engaged and the new people who saw it.

Hi Jerry! How do I tag specific people/friends on my FB business page? I get a message, "You do no have permission to add this tag". BUT, it works from some people and not others, but they're all FB friends. For instance, I am a photographer who has a business page, and 4 of us took a spectacular trip where the image are worth posting, AND I want to tag the other 3 because they were with me thoughout the trip. And, to be clear, I don't only want to tag via facial recognition, but to simply also tag regardless of whether they're in the photo or no. Many thanks!

When you post something it will show up on your Timeline (home) as well as Posts. And if it's a photo it will also show up on the Photos tab.

Hey Mike! Just click the 3 dots or the little down arrow on the upper right of your post. That will bring up a submenu where you can delete it.

Facebook is phasing out publishing in the main box on the page - try going to your Publishing Tools across the top of your Business Page.

You can only comment on other business pages as your business page, not on personal pages. In places when it is possible you'll see a little down-arrow next to the comment box and you can choose who you want to comment as. If you don't see the arrow, there are no other options. Glad it was helpful! To comment on someone else's post as your business page (this only works on other business pages), you'll see your profile picture just to the right of the Share button under a post (just above Share on mobile). It has a tiny down-arrow. Click that and you should be able to select your business page. Then you can Like and Comment as it.

Liz again! The picture I posted seems to have disappeared (replaced by a grey box) but the link still works. I tried logging in and out of Facebook to see if the picture re-appeared but no luck. Do you have any trouble shooting tips?

I can post on my business page just fine what I need to know is when on another site and they have a fb icon and I click on it and want to post it, it directs the post to my profile/personal page. How do I post it to my business page?

Business pages are limited on where they can post, but if the option exists there will be a tiny drop-down arrow next to the profile photo in the posting box - you can click it and choose who to post as. If you don't see it, that means it has defaulted to the only available account.

Are you using the regular Facebook App or the Pages App? Try the Pages app. You can get the links for iPhone or Android here: facebook.com/business/learn/managing-facebook-pages

I just started doing the company page, so excuse my ignorance. When I go to post a link to something on our website, it picks up our logo or the photo that's on the particular web page. The issue with it picking up the logo is that it cuts the words off so it doesn't show the whole logo. Is there a way to fix this and, if so, how?

Ha, no need to apologize Susette. I can help more specifically if I know what page you're trying to share, but here are the basics. Facebook will try and pull the best image from the page. If the page has an image designated as the "feature image," it will use that. If not it will grab any old image, including the logo on the website. Would you mind sharing one of the links you've tried to share on Facebook and I can help you further?

If the goal is to have your logo show up as the image on Facebook, I'd recommend against it. Your logo and organization name already appears next to your post. Also, if your image is a lot of text, Facebook will show it to fewer people. They don't like images with more than 20% text.

When I loaded the link you shared, it gave me a choice to use other images. I'd suggest choosing one of the other images, specifically of the gentleman speaking. It shows up the largest and looks nice!

It does not give me a choice. Also, on some of our web pages, there is only the logo. Is there a way to make the logo totally visible, instead of having part of the words cut off?

Is there anyway of posting a new post as your business page on someone else's business page? I am an 'admin' for our business. We are sharing information and I have been offered to add posts on their page but it shows my personal profile. Hope that makes sense?

There used to be but I don't think there is anymore. Facebook has been phasing out the ability for anyone to post on the "wall" of a business page. Even if you did, it rarely gets seen.

How else would they see them? In their News Feeds? Unfortunately only about 1% of the people who have Liked your page will actually see the content in their News Feeds. The number can be higher if you have a really engaged audience, or you can spend money to boost posts to more people. Is that what you mean Kandi?

All business pages posts are public, there is no way to change that.

The "wall" concept on business pages is something that Facebook has sort of abandoned. I'm not really sure why. If they tagged you @businessname then you should get a notification about it - if you click on the notification you'll see it. But for it to show up on your actual timeline you'll have to share it.

I posted some stuff on my business page but when I used my friend's account, my post doesn't come up in her news feed although I've checked that she has already liked my page and is a follower. Hey Sheila! Only 2-5% of the people that have Liked your page are likely to see your post. Back when business pages first started, a lot more people saw posts. Over the years Facebook has worked to protect the news feed for people so that it is content they enjoy, and most businesses aren't posting enjoyable content - they just post sales messages. There are a few ways to increase the reach of your business posts. If your friend in particular wants to see your business posts, she can choose the "See First" option described here: facebook.com/help/1188278037864643 To reach more people in general, you can post content that is more appealing. The last option is to of course pay to boost your posts if you have a budget for that and it makes sense for your business. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Wouldn’t that be nice? Unfortunately that’s not an option. Because your page is public, anyone signed into Facebook can’t comment (unless it’s someone you’ve blocked).

That said, If i comment on a photo, that i found when scrolling on another business's page, how can i get the comment I've made on their photo to come up as posted by my own biz page and not by me personally?

Great question! Under the post (usually on the bottom right) you'll see your profile photo with a tiny down-arrow. Click that and you can choose who to comment as. If you don't see it on some posts, that means there aren't any other options than the one selected for that post.
