Yes I fully agree, I remember watching this back in the day and there are only 2 episodes, it’s a shame as this could have led to what the whole TRRC is now, think about this new commission 20 years ago and look at where we are today folks. Still pissing down the drain trying to get to the truth that could have advanced 20 years.

What a remarkable woman and what a brave man, he didn't have to 'out' himself on TV. If only there were people like these two The North / Northern Ireland, whichever each of us prefer to call it, would be in such a better condition.

Watching this brought tears to my eyes. The participants on both sides had so much courage to participate in this process. I love the Arch! (Desmond Tutu). He had such an effective way to bring peace in the hearts of those who were part of this activity

I just googled Ronnie and he was in court for extortion. Taking money from republican donors or something. Don’t know if he was found guilty

I doubt Tutu understood half of what the first lady was saying, with her thick accent

Well if he didn't , the pain was written all across her face throughout ,while in contrast the soldier laughed many times, I think archbishop Tutu would have read the facial expressions and difference in body language, and her "thick" accent is just her local accent.

@@truthteller1908 yeah, I know the accent thing. My dad was born in Derry so I grew up with Northern accents (I was born in Dublin). Tutu did seem to grasp it but I wonder if it was time edited to fill him in on what was said anyway.

Well, I’ve mixed feelings about him. I don’t know if he lied or not, but he painted the picture of a typical soldier “doing his duty” etc, telling was stories and even joking. I felt there Wasn’t Closure

@@aligindahouse7777 yeah and now he’s trying to backtrack. He knew at the time but is still trying to say “I made a mistake”. To make it out that he had a wobbly scope and blah blah blah. So he was still lying about lying. I mean to cry about getting hit with a milk bottle. ??
